Having spent such a long period of my own leisure time coaching kids the correct ( and safe ) way of tackling in various forms of "the tackle" it's one of the reasons i personally dislike the shoulder charge. Any player who's ever tried the shoulder charge & failed will know how much it can hurt, I cringe at the amount of times Makali missed completely or the ball carrier simply bounced away without being flattened & continued on his way leaving a gap where the tackler should have been positioned.
