And Behold, a pale horse. And on his back his name was death.

The weekend starts on a Monday.

Nah, that was just me putting the cat amongst the pigeons ( $hit-stirring in old money ) with the Chezzy rumour

I see your mate Ramma-langa-Ging-dong has another letter printed in the League-weekly today, I don't disagree with his view on this occasion. LOL

Who wrote it for him.

I get the feeling Powell was pushed out at Fev to a degree and left because he was not too happy with certain things. Quality coach who transformed Fev and I am glad to see them where they are now compared to just a couple of years ago before Poweel came in.

Top club and some good people following them like the Overtons, Robin Alan Glenn etc who I am fortunate to know. Each club has idiots including ours. But each club also has people like I have mentioned who love their rugby and club. I hope for them Fev do not go backwards.

One name I am hearing as coach is John Bastian who was Warrington and Leeds Academy coach and played at Fev. Fev like any club are more than one person. And I hope Fev stay strong and continue to be our great rivals in this league as we have seen some fantastic games and the atmosphere is top notch.

Flipping eck call my biased but as a Fax fan I DO hope Fev go backwards as I want US to be the dominant force in the Championship and top the league with just one or two defeats, come on lets be honest we want us to win things and at the moment Fev are favourites with us a close second, lets hope this knocks them back a bit.

Fev Favourites?? Nah, can't be. It's Sheffield... swifty62 said so a few weeks ago. Or it's Fax... definately, yes that's it... it's Fax!! So many on here have said so..!

It's definayely NOT fev and losing Daryl Powell is an argmageddon type occurence that will send Fev into freefall.
So, inshort, Fev are shieeeeite and def NOT favs!

Whatever happens next at Fev it is in our interest that they remain strong. If the competition isn't strong then how can we further develop and push on if we want to take a step up?

Totally agree, the stronger this league is the less it can be ignored by the rfl and all the lesser sl clubs

Re: New Cas coach : Tue May 07, 2013 8:38 am
I'd imagine though Fev are going to have to go through a period of change, the majority of the squad there now (if not all) have been signed or retained by DP, its a team built to play to his methods. In a similar way to how Rhino has overhauled the squad at Halifax from what he inherited to how he wants it to be.

If Fev can appoint a coach who plays a similar style then the transition won't be as tough, but most coaches work in different ways, and while there is a talented crop of players at Fev, a new man may have transfer targets in mind, and may look to move some of the current players on to make space. There's also the possibility that the new man may not get on with some of the current players, so there will be a natural turnover.

Coaches come and go, but as long as the board get the right man and give him the backing. it shouldn't be too detrimental in the long term.

I know what people are saying but sport is a cut throat business and if you look at Man U in football do they and their glory fans care they dominated the Premier League this season winning it with 8 games to go?
No.

Fev fans love Tonka but can't see him being a target for us in the near future as our props have unquestionably been the strength of the Rovers team this season, even when we weren't playing so well. He's a terrific player but I'm not sure many Fev fans would want England or Crossley dropped to make way for him, and James and Bostock have been excellent off the bench too. Obviously, I doubt Fax would want to let him go either.
