I think we wanted late in August (after the Cup Final, the night Fev play Sheffield) but you didn't. Fair enough. So, as usual, the RFL have opted for a date when it doesn't give supporters much time to arrange things, it doesn't give the home team much time to arrange sponsorship, meal packages, ticket sales, programme publication (I won't be able to do one, so goodness knows who will) etc.
And what now of player welfare? At a time when the 'powers' say one game per week is enough, we get four in twelve days and you get four in fourteen!
As usual, just about everyone is inconvenienced. I can't understand why Fev and Sheffield get a month to re-organise their game and we get a week?
