I think one way the board should look at is by dropping entrance price but that is going to be hard to work out if it is worth doing without knowing some more figures.
Like say we have about 1000 or more season ticket holders and we average say 500 paying spectators on the gate then those bring in about £7500 not allowing for junior prices because then again it gets complicated without knowing figure splits. If the club dropped adult admission to £10 then they have to bring in another 250 fans to make up for this shortfall.
Is that doable? I really dont know, you would have some added advertising costs but theres ways around that when it comes to scratching other people backs. At £10 its pretty much a bargain and extra interest tends to breed to extra interest but again without actual figures its pretty hard to say.

It is a difficult one, could it be trialed in some way??
The club seam to be bold enough to give some ideas a chance.
A price drop could well get a few more coming but as you say if it doesn't work out then their will be even less coming in from the faithfull.
If they did try it out and I could afford to pay the old higher entrance fee I would give the difference to the guys and gals who collect for the club as a contribution gesture in effect taking me and mine out of the risk factor.
I'm sure one or two others would do the same if they could.
