The club seam to be bold enough to give some ideas a chance.

A price drop could well get a few more coming but as you say if it doesn't work out then their will be even less coming in from the faithfull.

If they did try it out and I could afford to pay the old higher entrance fee I would give the difference to the guys and gals who collect for the club as a contribution gesture in effect taking me and mine out of the risk factor.

I'm sure one or two others would do the same if they could.

Drop the gate price to £10 and you'd need to look at dropping the season ticket price too.

That's the dilemma.

Season ticket money up front is nice but most clubs spend it straight away. Half the clubs in the league use it to pay off last season's debts. Sell too many and you've no walk-up gate and you have problems during the season (eg Bulls, Dewsbury during the last five years).

Our club has to prioritise IMO. I haven't a clue how they do it and I don't envy the the task but to get from 2,000 to 4,000 is a huge task John. It's massive. Thankfully we have a great board currently. We're not begging for RFL handouts and we haven't just staved off a winding up petition from the HMRC. We're on the right track.

As the structure of the game changes to perhaps open the door to SL once more we may now have an opportunity to increase our crowds.

Due Diligence review by new parent company unfortunately. Got to make sure I get off to a god start with new bosses

Malc - you're part correct I think. Bradford reducing prices whilst at the top of the tree was a disaster because they have nothing "extra" to offer if they try and put prices back up. Same for Huddersfield. At least we can up prices if we get promoted for example.

Charlie isn't Anti anybody , I love everyone just ask my Fax friends , I was told you thought this post was about a game of Draughts though you never know one of the Wigan players from todays game might be facing you on Wednesday .
