I think it's fair enough on the points made, the club has tried hard to introduce new incentives, reach a wider audience through social media and do some great work in the community so they do deserve some credit. The worrying thing for me is, it doesn't seem to be working, I've been watching since the early 90's and the match day crowds and support for the team are at an all time low as far as I can remember. In fact it's the first time I can remember the football teams crowds being on a par with the rugby clubs despite being one of the most expensive days out in the football conference.

You can do all the off field stuff in the world and be creative like the club has been but if the product on the field aint working then it wont make any difference to crowd levels.

Yes a good point but it's not always the case, Hull have been very very average over the last 10 years or so in SL(although they have done well in the CC) yet they continue to have good crowds. They are quite boring to watch at times but that hasn't affected their crowds. Huddersfield this season have been great to watch and finished as league leaders yet their crowds struggle, despite them being on the up for a few years now.

Huddersfield Town get far more than the rugby, the rugby have tried to market themselves to the football crowd, but the stadium share issue that dragged on for so long left a sour taste in the mouth of many of the football fans towards Ken Davy, who as a result won't have any thing to do with him or his club.

There's an old saying about making your bed and lying in it. That's what Ken's got to do.

It does my fruit in when someone like stevo makes a comment like "the people of Huddersfield should get behind Ken Davy". I've lived in Huddersfield most of my life and I won't be doing. If anything I think he's a bit foolish for pouring his children's inheritance into a money pit of a club

My worry is this , just before the school summer holidays "The Giants Roadshow " visited a school in this area bringing along mascot ,players etc last week they were there again ,that`s two visits within 3 or 4 months . Both times the kids were buzzing about it as they left school all on about going to watch the Giants , my heart just sinks at this .
There was a time (admited it`s a good few years ) that Clubs stuck to their own locality when doing promotion like this although Bradford I think were the first to break the mould .
How on earth is a Champ Club supposed to compete trying to market themselves against Super League sides with their budget however hard they try .It`s a shame as our Club has made big strides in this area of late but it made me wonder if they have been into the school that I am associated with how many others are they ? Giants are desperate to boost crowds from wherever they come from and kids like to see players ,that`s how Bradford took our young fans and it worked .I know it`s hard but we must ensure there is a budget for these kind of things but please don`t ask me where it`s going to come from as I havn`t a clue.
