Did you pay for this writing?

Inconclusive and poorly written at best, I hope not!

It only covers ground that most with interests in the site should be covering. If some of them weren't too busy slagging off all and sundry. Who would want to sit down and discuss with people like that?

That comes0 down to personal opinion. It's not mine so I'm not too fussed but the council feedback so far is positive.

Do the people who wrote this report actually know the teams involved if so why have they written " Both clubs are playing at similar levels."

I'd potentially say FCHT are playing at a higher level. Your main rival is Featherstone, a town little larger population wise than Greetland.

Jeez Bubba. How dare Everton, a small suburb of Liverpool, play with all those big city clubs in the premier league? Let's reorganise the football league based on town/city population. Sounds like licensing in RL!

 What about your rivals Forest Green who play in Nailsworth. Nailsworth has a population of 5,000! Way smaller than Greetland. And since when does the size of a place have anything to do with how high a level is? I fail to see what your point is. Its thanks to idiots like you, that has seen the Rugby v Football scenario escalate. You try and act as though you are a fan of Fax when really you are just another jealous pubteam fan. :ASS:

Re: The Shay : Mon Mar 03, 2014 8:40 pm
So let me get this straight, you = Halifax Town Supporters Trust who represent how many people (say at most 100 members I would guess) have had a 'report' completed by an organisation who are 'a co-operative partnership based in London and Brighton that specialise in helping people build better ways to work and live through co-operative enterprise'.
So this is basically a report completed by an organisation who are obviously biased in favour of community asset transfers written for an organisation who represent a tiny minority of the sports fans in Calderdale.
Also who are the people who have been consulted, why are their names not listed? Most reports to give them credibility list the names of the people consulted and their official positions, otherwise you can say what you like as how can anybody challenge it without knowing who contributed?
Plus the former Chief Executive of the Shay Stadium Trust happens to be your father Gavin.
From what I have read there are lots and lots of not very realistic assumptions, this report lacks factual substance and appears to be written to say what the paymasters (HTST) want and satisfy your own agenda, not a neutral position based on hard evidence.

Re: The Shay : Mon Mar 03, 2014 8:49 pm
Oh and I love the paragraph:-

'The report produced in 2003 that led to the creation of the SST included a recommendation that is made here again, namely to operate match day revenues centrally, with clubs receiving the proceeds after rent is deducted at source'.
Really?
They cannot have consulted FC Halifax Town or Halifax RLFC as come on do you think any sports club will sign up to this?
Oh and the other one:-
'The sums deducted would be derived from a formula which apportioned core central costs equitably to all users (including commercial tenants in the various parts of the site) then another payment related to variable costs incurred by them'.
So not just the two sports clubs but any potential tenants have to sign up to this payment system, do you really think anybody out there will sign up for this? No way its leases or licences with an agreed amount paid per month for a fixed term, that's the way property is let end of story this proposal is not workable, its an SST dream world solution, dream on get in the real world.
