I have been watching Fax since 1978 and Halifax RU from the same time. Played RL at School and RU all the time when I was in the Army. I know your entitled to your opinion but I dont care for people having a go at RU, its a different game but a great game. If there had been no RU there would be Rugby League.

I will be at the Shay watching Fax beat the Seagulls and recording the England v Wales match to watch on Sunday evening. COME ON FAX.

Seagulls by 20 points unless we pull our fingers out and all I've seen so far is a load 'we were unlucky' comments.
It's not luck it's taking poor options at important times so time now to bemoaning things and to man up.
Come on Fax, let this be the game where we turn it round, if not it's time for a new broom.

It isn't though, is it? It's just people kicking the ball over the nearest stand.

I played RU at school and I can't remember ever touching the ball while it was in play. Not my job, I was told.

If there had been no RU there would be Rugby League.

First half Ireland v Italy, 20 "phases?" 5 yards gained.
And to say Rugby League was begotten from Union might be true, but without Wigan v Bath, Rah Rah would not be anywhere.
They have even adopted our rules, no contested scrums, feed the second row, and stay back at the maul as in play the ball.
Perhaps the way forward for us is to ask Princess Anne to great the players as they run out of our tunnel, and ask JK ROWLING to sit next to Malcolm in the stand, he could give her a few tips on writing a book.

It always makes me smile when people start slagging off and comparing union and league. I have been a follower of both codes for more than 35 years . Why compare ? Just because of the word rugby preceding both . It's like comparing tennis and squash - both racquet sports but so what . I have seen some fantastic games of Union , I've also seen some absolutely crap games ; ditto rugby league . Just enjoy whatever code you prefer and stop slagging off the other . I'm recording the RU and coming down to the Shay just hoping that I don't fall asleep again!!! C'mon Fax.

By Gum its been depressing reading on here this past week but Mrs Hudd-Shay says spring has sprung, the sun is shining, so let's get down't Shay and cheer the lads on to a 22v18 win. Up The Fax! Oh and 100% League, 0% Union.
