First time I have made the trip to Dewsbury as a Leigh fan, sat with the Leigh directors and underwent 80 mins of verbal abuse and midway through the first half was threatened by a man in his mid fifties!! He did apologise at half time when he saw me though as I don't think he realised my size!

As for the ground it looks like a rugby pitch just smaller and is a horrible pitch for playing rugby, having said all that I enjoyed it.

If we lose again & fail to prevent Fev picking up any points at the Shay when they come to us we won't get 2nd spot with our visits to Sheffield & Leigh yet to come. Got to put Thacks on his backside today, he's in decent form but we have Johnston who more than matches his pace on our forwards' shoulders. It's too close for me to call but over the last few years it's been a difficult place to win & a midfield arm wrestle would suit me on that pitch to be honest. I don't think we'll win though but i hope i'm wrong.

We don't do heavy ground. This "summer rugby" lark is proving tricky. It's nearly June. We still have heavy grounds. We should be OK by August though when the whole thing will be pretty much over.

A nice drive down to Kingfisher on Denby Dale road off the M1 junction 39 for a sit down special and chips.

Back up to 38 and down the mad mile for the game that no one can predict the final result but will be a thunderous encounter.

I hope I'm wrong because I enjoy Dewsbury away but with this weather I think I'm going to predict a postponement
