A quality post.

A subtle difference (unless I've got the timing wrong) is that Tommy was brought on board to cover for Rob Worrincy's ban? Hence to cover a gap in our squad rather than anything else?

What did make me smile was being in the queue at Dewsbury office (to exchange my son's ST for a match ticket), and Tommy's dad was in front of us. He presented himself as the proud father of a Halifax player!

Seriously, Tommy Saxton has been awesome for us in the last couple of months, and I'm gutted we're losing him. Peter Fox had better be up to scratch!!

Chris green from hull - 1 month loan
Danny Bridge from wire - 1 month loan
Jason crookes from hull - season long loan with recall option

I get the first two short term signings - props and back rowers are where we are suffering the injuries and need reinforcements - hull fans really rate green so that might be a good signing

Crookes is a really confusing signing - wingers are an area we arent short of and have some quality there

Thats probably because Fax are in negotiations with Fev to keep Saxton for the rest of the season.

As far as im aware (but i will ask him myself tonight) theres no negotiation with fax at the moment regarding this season but fax have offered a deal for next season but its only a year and his preference is a two year deal at fev to finish career off but i cant even see him in the team let alone a 2 year deal happening

Nothing to do with players not turning up for training then?

Personally I'm expected to go to work for me to get paid not sure about everyone else.

A contract is a contract, you are obligated to pay it until the contract comes to an end. If a player doesn't show for training then they have to be submitted to a disciplinary procedure like any other business. You cant just decide not to pay them.
