My old man was made redundant by the club as a full time employee by mr Wood. I was discarded without any formal or informal notice as the club scholarship co-ordinator and talent i.d. only a few years ago when the scheme was disbanded, yet for some reason or other if you look at the official staff listings on the club website, I am still named in that role, that in itself tells me something about the running of the club ( in my opinion ) after the scholarship scheme has been inactive for around three or four years now !!! http://www.halifaxrlfc.co.uk/club_infor ... club_staff My youngest son was released from the Academy at the end of last season after being with the club for about 5 years ( apart from 1 season at a local SL club inbetween ) Yet still, those personal/family setbacks from the club didn't affect my support for the club in any way, it was the players on the field & i might add some of their off-field performances that got me feeling this way. Well after reading this response , it proves me right MM , you seem to think that Halifax RLFC have some sort of Vindictive Vendetta against your Family , whatever the reasons were for Fax making the decisions you said , the Club must have thought at the time they were the right ones , and not for one minute am I saying they were as I don't know what happened , but I stand by my "Victim " statement as it seems you are certainly a bitter bloke , lighten up mate , we all have problems , but bearing grudges doesn't help . As for my visit to the Shay , I watch many RL games when my beloved Centurions are not playing as im a RL fan , I enjoy the Company and banter along with the Rugby ,and I WILL enjoy my visit , no doubt . Ian, you cannot tell people what they should feel, last week I had people calling me a ' part timer ' and asking me what I was doing at the match, you suggest whatever a Leigh board did to you it wouldnt affect you, you havent been involved with the club in the same way MM has, if you had, your opinions might be different, sometimes being part of something changes the way you feel about it

Just as I ' enlightened ' you about our former chairman last week

I would suggest like myself, MM is just bored and ' out of love ' with both his club and RL in general at the moment, but still is interested ( being why he like myself still reads and occaisionally contributes on here )

MM is not much different to shall we say 700/800 other Fax fans. He obviously has Fax in his heart but is hacked off with Fax's lack of progress over the last few years and more so the shambles that is the RFL. He knows his rugby and what he wants. There's nowt wrong with that and it is up to Halifax RLFC to entice people like him and the rest of our latent support to get back down't Shay. As for his taste in music and his choice of football team well.........
