Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Top bloke Richard, hope he goes well for you and himself

Could you explain that to Mapleyther? He thinks that Marshall is "all we can afford" which I find quite offensive.

And Behold, a pale horse. And on his back his name was death.

The weekend starts on a Monday.

Good listening, one thing puzzles me though, behind him is a www.stobartsuperleague sign, what ever happened to that?

It's got a really good feel about it. I'd say he's taking a big risk leaving a good number at Wire behind. Young, ambitious, experienced at a very high level; it's ticks a lot of boxes. Let's hope he along with his own staff can bring some smiles back on the players faces. A month ago I'd had enough; today with a few more signings I may, just may be tempted to buy a season ticket again.

Great start Mr Croad and Abbott, keep it coming!

My initial reaction was "Who, surely not that ex-player of ours?"
Then I saw he'd been at Wire under Tony Smith for a quite a while, had room to bring in his own players & the board had told him they wanted success with free flowing rugby.
Those last 3 words really excited me & he's coming from a club who like playing that way. Add to that the fact he knows the club and I'm thinking the board may have made quite an astute appointment !!

I guess the point is, I would imagine (and hope) that he is significantly cheaper than some of the experienced coaches named on here such as Nobby and Kear. Though that doesn't mean it's the wrong decision.

Another point is, he was in charge of the youth team at Wire, so is there a possibility we'll get some decent young loan players from them?
