It's precisely Rowley's performance when Leigh had no money to spend why I rate him so much. Took charge in 2012 with no money, no staff and about 7 players and came 2nd in the league. A series of finial difficulties at the club since then and we've never dropped lower than 4th. Hardly struggling. Not sure about most fans calling for his head, some questioned the appointment after some of his spells as temporary coach but most got behind him quickly. Think the Super 8s collapse came about from inexperience both on the part of Rowley and the players, think Paul is only going to improve as a coach as he becomes more experienced.

Rowleys a good coach, but will have his hands full with the Egos Leigh have in 2016. I still expect Leigh to easily finish top. I think Rowley still has a lot to learn as he has not really worked with top players before or has much experience in working with somebody like Tony Smith. Marshall is also a good coach and maybe has the advantage over Rowley having worked at Warrington and England Academy and is more used to working with Top players. Since Marshall, left Wire they have struggled and for me and Wire fans that I know, Marshall is a large reason. He has very good man management but also was very good on the fine details stuff. We saw the difference last year with Marshall how basically to a man everybody improved.

Makes me laugh the numpties saying Richard is a great coach but will be found out? Who will he be found out by? The superior coaches the other championship clubs have all replaced their coaches with close season? And of course Richard won't improve as a coach himself or have more of an impact now he has a full pre season!!

If we'd had an influx of top class coaches into the championship I would be worried about Richard being shown up!

I do agree with you David, to say Richard will be "found out" does in my humble opinion show a lack of understanding of his technical knowledge and the professionalism he has brought to Fax.
We started last season off poorly and I know of at least two regular supporters who moaned that he hadn't changed the system from Karl's tenure.
Once the players bought into the new methods and game plans things started to improve.
London away was a Hugh blip. We were so good in the first half that I said at half time that we would have to do something really silly to lose that game. Well we did, our game plan seemed to go out of the window, but it was quickly rectified, a marvellous end of season.
To be "found out" you have to employ the same tactics each year, we have some exciting new players (I can not understand why some people are "underwhelmed" to add to the players who last year improved beyond what we all thought possible.

Richard will do well as will Fax,

That London game still rankles with me. I also said at the time that it could cost us big time. Luckily it didn't! Has Brown gone back to Batley full time? Also, talking about London, I've heard that Ealing's pitch is 3g. That's not right either. Although after saying that they may have moved home again by then! Lindley club, Guinness, Mmm!

Not sure about Brown Pete, gfb will be the man to ask.
I believe London's new pitch is 3G which in my humble opinion is stupid.
