Now I've given Degsy's the benefit of the doubt previously but it's comments like that that show him to be an @rse. He could thank Leigh fans for excellent support away at Batley but instead turns it round to money, something very chavish.

I am starting to wonder if Degsy is an Harry Enfield character.

Tony the thread is about saying well done to Batley. Degsy said you'd go the season unbeaten. I think that loud bang was his bubble bursting.

I'm sure that you'll win most of your games this season but when you set yourself up like Degsy has, you make yourself a target for all the other teams and games become cup ties.

At least some of your sensible fans have gone on to say that the best team won and that you were 2nd best.

If that statement is correct then that confirms the arrogance and indeed unpleasant nature of the "man"
I am not in to Leigh or Derek bashing (I've enough on my hands with Sheffield) but I think the chap needs a lesson in humility.

Hang on a minute this is where I need the expertise of my friend Littlerich, the accountant.
If Leigh paid 25% of Batleys salary then didn't they only have a quarter of the gate?
To be honest when Fax go to Batley I eat 25% of the chips, Huddshay drinks 25% of the booze but Derek never has the courtesy to mention that.
One rule for one and one for the other.

Good Morning John, I'm thinking how happy you must be at the moment, being Top of the League, I bet you Faxers are having nosebleeds with the altitude some have said I'm Flapping I thought only birds this , and I predicted we would get beaten this season.
I agree the best team won,I have no problems with the result,but it will be a different team next week, Lee Smith at full back and hopefully Hock and Patterson back, Rangi playing in the Halves, a d maybe Bob Beswick back.
