I agree with Charlie. The players Sheffield get from Leigh will make a big difference and could have a bearing on the result. Mark Aston has always been a shrewd coach and has done a great job with recruiting. Not much in it for me and could see it going either way. The one thing we have got is our players have been together over 2 seasons. You would think the players should know the plays. It looked at Batley like a new team who haven't played together before.
As for going backwards the management at the club have mismanaged and other clubs looked to have spent more wisely. Player recruitment has been poor. Spending too much on coaches. A big screen which was a waste of time. Is the reserve setup really necessary and would it have been wiser to spend on first team.
RM has to stop living on past success and get back to playing basic rugby league. The biggest disappointment for me was not competing at Batley.
