Why are players allowed to sign for other clubs half way through the season? Just seems daft to me and causes this type of unrest/speculation that we are now reading about. Imagine what is being said within the inner circle of the changing room at training etc. Can't be good for the business end of the season rugby knowing several of your mates have already signed for somebody else next season. Bonkers.

Any player who is in the last year of their contract is allowed to speak (or sign) with other clubs after the 1st June.

Because it's these players' future and their jobs. They have families to care for and require some level of job/income security.

The players are all professional enough to understand this and see out their contract with their current employers!

Do you expect all the players to wait until all the games are finished and then scrabble around to find themselves a job during the short off-season?

Probably am...I don't want a player of my club at the business end of the season who's already committed his allegiance elsewhere for the following season..end of.

It isn't your club and they aren't your players. They are real adults making a living who have young families to feed.
