It would be great to see Brad back at all this season but you can't expect him to come into the team and make a big impact straight away. Fingers crossed for him.
I was surprised to see him in the squad tbh but if he plays he must be ready , it’ll take some time to get some match fitness, given how fit Scott’s got them this year it wouldn’t surprise me if he wasn’t far off . I know from experience it’s not necessarily the injury itself but the psychological factor of replaying the injury that’s the hardest thing to get over , I would imagine them first few carries would be a bit nerve racking, having said that Knowles appears to be elite in terms of mental strength , I think he overcame a fractured vertebrae whilst playing for Sheffield. Hopefully if he comes through unscathed he’ll be available for the bulls with also kav , barber and worthington to return from suspensions.
I'm surprised Elliott has been loaned out full stop. Great player.
As regards Morris if I had to make an educated guess based on the interviews I’ve seen the reason for him not being selected would be more of an off the field thing ie diet , nutrition and training etc , Scott’s obviously upped the anti in this department which we have all witnessed on the field . I’m guessing body fat percentage will be measured regularly along with overall fitness levels , I suspect Morris is behind the other props , Murray , gwaze , calcott, tangata etc , it’s clear to me that the Grix type of prop leans more to big minutes, leg speed , aggressive . I listened to a podcast where the cas coach lee radford said the six again rule has sped up the ruck speed meaning the characteristics I’ve mentioned above are prioritised in the modern prop .

Nonetheless he is great coming off the bench as an impact player. It must be a personal thing between him and SG.

So who from the props / pack would you have left out then Hudds to include Elliot? Whoever it was would it have been for personal reasons against that player?
Just to give people a little insight into what goes on in getting a player ready for the season , featuring our own Greg worthington at Toronto https://youtu.be/bJe0KBbufHA
So basically they’ve said cut down on lager , crisps , spam sarnies etc .
Why do you think Bradford aren’t competing this year , half the team wouldn’t even fit them callipers on their fat .
The championship gets harder and harder every year therefore every year you have to raise your game .

From personal experience it's simple. There's no excuse, there's more today on sporting nutrition, diet, training etc than ever before, the better the training regime and the better you buy into it and apply it the better the results will be. The key is it starts with "you" your mindset, as a player if you can't get your self in shape without being told then there is something wrong mentally that will show itself physically and performance wise as individuals and as a team.

I'm not privy to what goes on behind the scenes at the club but as for EM i would have had him above Tangata until Adam's recent upturn in form. I think he's also in front of Calcott and certainly before any dr/loan player who may be brought in. This is just my opinion but it's got to be said whoever has been in the squad of late has done Fax proud. For that SG must take the plaudits and whoever represents our club let's hope we continue our way up the league. Up The Fax!

So when we are not privy to what goes on behind the scenes, when a player is left out out by the coach who sees first hand what we can't (which from any squad several will be) "must" it be down to a personal difference?
Does he have a personal difference with every player who is not picked and goes out on loan or is just Elliot?
Are Fax the only club to leave players out and send them on loan or DR?
Do all these other coaches have personal differences with these players or is it just SG with his players?
The entire line of reasoning has no reasoning behind it, it's just that you can only field 17 at any one time and considering how we are playing SG hasn't done a bad job going with those who he's picked.

Perhaps 'must' was the wrong word to use. As for dr what other clubs chose to do regarding that is up to them. I don't want our club using it under any circumstances, ever. Up The Fax!
