I agree, there can be only two reasons as far as I am concerned that the BOD haven't officially commented. Either it would be two damaging to our interests or we are unable to do so for legal reasons. Only time will tell which of the two but as more time goes by it gets more damaging, at some point the first reason will become redundant.

As far as I can tell from the small bits of information available there was an issue with what the council had said they would do and which some of at least they did not do regarding the Shay.
That and the RL club apparently paying more than the soccer club for the same stadium has both played a part in the rent not being paid.
It has been stated an offer was made to the council by the RL club last week to settle the rent, it would seem that it was less than the amount owed due to the above.
I would predict whatever happens next will get the issue resolved and Fax will still be playing out of the Shay at the end of it, not long to wait now is my guess.

As far as I was aware they did at the meeting on the 17th Feb.
I find it strange that we react to a post on the idiots forum, pay it some credibility, and then back that up by saying it must be true because the club shop is closed.
As said earlier Malcolm has no connection with the club shop.
No one in the office has access to the club shop.
HX1 do not open the club shop other than Saturday mornings and match days.
Do we expect our board to respond to a post on a forum run and populated by morons?

One thing that puzzles me is where do the Town fans get all their information from? Is there a leak within the Council as if so there should be an investigation into who? This issue is a sensitive one between a landlord and their tenant and is a very private matter, like did we hear about Cut Prize Charlies on Southgate not paying their rent and eventually getting locked out in the press? No and we shouldn't as it is a very private matter and provided the Council take the right course of action through the proper routes then fine. The big question is if Halifax Town are paying less for using the Shay then why? I want answers in public now as I am sick of Town fans putting all our stuff out in the open (subject to it being true or not) so why not theirs?

Mr Steele said that that negotiations are on going and the club would not wish to make a statement until things were resolved.
With respect you are suggesting that what what has been posted on the Luddites forum is fact.
Didn't they say that we owed money to "The Venue" ?
If that was correct why did they provide food for the Players and wives evening and the Valentine Heart Beat of Sport dinner?

Ignore every thing I've said we must be in trouble, just been down the Shay the place is in complete darkness, shutters up at our club shop and our directors are in George Square selling the Big Issue.


Ps bought a copy for the first time in my life.

Halifaxjohn the problem is there does appear to be issues and somehow the Town fans seem to find out about everything, I have my suspicions but would rather not say as I am not 100% sure but whoever is 'blabbing' needs to be warned imo
