Please have a look at the Michael Ostick thread where this came to light, Vikingman clearly states that he's emailed the RFL. Even one of the fax players told my mate today that when the RFL contacted the club they told them that he was the one who allerted them to the problem.

I would absolutely love it if the RFL did ring Fax up and went 'Hi, it's the RFL here, Vikingman has informed us...'

That would almost make the situation worth it.

Vikingman's e-mail aside, the thread snowballed pretty quickly. It would have permeated through eventually anyway.

I can't see any point in arguing about who's fault it was outside of the internal workings of the club.

The buck stops with the club.

Might I suggest that we now give this a rest until any official announcement is made tomorrow after the RFL inquiry?

We don't seem to be going anywhere, except over the same stuff time and again.

Is there any way that this could not be the fault of the club?

What if the club asked the RFL if he was cup-tied and they said 'No'.

201. As the mods are very keen to edit and delete various posts on a consistent basis, they should have deleted the "leaked" info as soon as they could, so Vikingman couldn't get the info he needed to bum us over! I remember quite a few posts suggesting "Mods, delete this quick"
