We won’t regret this move. Grix has chosen to go now and finish his contract with Fax early because of a better offer and a chance to move his career on at a higher level. Anyone in any job would take the opportunity to progress their career. He has done a huge amount of work since taken the Fax coaching role and has left us in a better place with better players than when he took over from Marshall. I wish him all the best and hope he succeeds.

You ever seen what lee briers said about Grix ?

No, I can imagine what it is though but I have heard all this before about previous players and coaches. Richard Marshall was going to go on to become a top head coach and we were lucky to have him. You always hear the same things when people either join or leave but how many players or coaches have really gone on to do better than they have at Fax after leaving? Time will tell if Grix can join the minority who have.

Now the tears are starting to dry up lets hope that he can finish his time at Fax with a win at Wembley and a decent run in the playoffs. Afterall that is what we all want and it would be nice for him to leave Fax on a high.

Anyway my final words on Grix is id rather take lee briers opinion of him as a player and tony smith’s opinion of him as a young up and coming coach than 1% of the fan base on here .

Briers said he was the most skilful player he played with or he was the most underrated, something along those lines. I think saying he has taken us further than Marshall is up for debate. Under Marshall, we won a few games where weren't supposed to Bradford home and away, Leigh, Toulouse, Hull KR, London in the cup when they were in superleague. Momentary recall under Grix is perhaps only Fev in the cup this year. Obviously can't compare like for like but I think under both of them, they have brought an ambition and greater professionalism to the club. If it is Luke Robinson then I am sure that will continue under him.

So you should, lets hope he can prove the "1%" wrong where so many before him have failed.

Absolutely spot on. A lot of crocodile tears on here and false accusations. As i've said elsewhere I wonder if all the moaning and nonsense would be going on if Simon wasn't such a popular local lad. Whatever, he has the opportunity to go out as a real hero and leave his hometown club on a real high. Let's hope his team enable him to do just that. Up The Fax!

He will get the chance to do that now which is wonderful. Hopefully we can also kick on in the league after this and he gets the chance to put a dent in the playoffs as well.

Hopefully more than a dent. A great display by the lads today. P.S. I thought Fax were on the wrong side of four or five really poor decisions by the referee which on another day could easily have cost us the game. But we overcame that and were very deserved winners. Up The Fax!
