Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

The thing that worries me the most is, are the ground staff going to keep up with the "WHOLE" ground maintanence? Or just cut the grass as they do now. The inside of the ground ie., weeds all over the place looks like something out of the film "The Day Of The Triffids". most

Got to agree with this ,I would have a lot more faith in how good the new stand is going to be if I could see that the other sides had been looked after. The ladies again were all flooded the other day my fear is we will be sitting in a nice new stadium looking across at "Beirut " I have never been to the new stadium at Doncaster before I was gobsmacked at how clean and bright everything was.Not sure I enjoyed the big stadium for a small crowded match though. I still enjoy the proper rugby grounds but the facilities should be kept up to.My question is at this time of year when only rugby is playing on the pitch once a fortnight and we don`t require the grass cutting twice a day as we don`t like it as short as the Wendyballers what do the groundsmen do?

Don't try asking them cos they won't hear you.The music can usually be heard if you walk past the Shay on Huddersfield Road

Don't get me going again - watch out for Bubba to defend the stadium staff.
This is a big worry for me too, unless they get a proper stadium manager in - PLEASE!

I agree that when the East Stand is complete it will need an experienced stadium / facility manager. I never have disagreed on that. Hopefully the Council will be willing to pay the going rate and significant increase in salary. Hopefully they will be getting the rent paid as well.

Not that old chestnut again.
If the club are not paying then they are out of order and I have to ask why??
But I also have to ask how you know this privileged information as employees of the Council should NOT be sharing this with anybody, its out of order and can be used by the some people the wrong way, like you just have.
I may ask through the Fax Trust to dig more on this, its wrong both if true and you knowing Bubba.

Half of Calderdale seem to know. Was on a Stag Do last Thursday and half of them knew. Also, I was told by someone at a recent Fax Trust meeting that it was discussed there. So Fax Trust may have already done the digging?

Love that comment. You are very selective with your opinions. Love it.
