yes but this is soon to change when we beat you in the gf this year as for little clubs, when did you ever win anything? lmfao
Well aren't you saying what you're telling us we shouldn't. Taking things for granted and all. How do you know you'll be in the grand final. One bad performance in the playoffs and you're gone quite possibly. Only the top two get a second bite at the cherry. That's the aim, get in the top 2.

2nd place would be disappointing for us we firmly believe 1st place is there for the taking

A quote from your club website:
"1957 really signalled the end of the golden era of the Club history and most of the star players retired after this time". A Golden era which saw you win one trophy.
The rest is a footnote.
Like your posts, i find this quite sad. I pity you.
Do you not think there may have been an element of inevitability about that performance, after the Cas' game? That would have taken a colossal amount out of your guys, who will surely come back firing on all cylinders. (unfortunately, as we still have to play you three times!)
Remind me who the Eagles were playing the previous weekend, oh yes I remember, a Super League team, Hull K.R.
Yes they did play a super league team the week before. However i think the point was clearly missed on you. After playing so well against the super league side he was saying that possibly the halifax found it hard to be motivated to play sheffield and get up for the game.
Where as for sheffield to play the top team in the league meant they had to play a top game again. Halifax were poor regardless. Whether it was not getting up for the game or underestimating sheffield. No one has disputed that fact.
Matt Calland should have been eating a very large slice last night. After his arrogant statement that "we will score a hundred against someone" his charges were unable to cope with a very well coached side who looked as though they were up for it and Fax looked incapable of coping with their style of play. They just expected to win. The lad Hemmingway looked lost, The Bowman brothers have looked really good when we have seen them. Both they and Wrenchy would have given us more go forward. Just wonder if Calland can get things sorted out as another performance like that and support will dwindle. Impressed by Mark Aston and wonder how he would do with the quality of players Fax have?
Harsh, jump on the guys back when we lose a game?
Wrenchy is not better than the players we had on the field yesterday no way!
The whole team apart from Miles had an off game, it happens.
I do agree though that Matt needs to keep his mouth shut at times, arrogance only winds up the opposition and saying what he did came over as being a bit arrogant.
Nowt wrong saying you have a good team but RL players are not the most professional sportsman in the world at times and this will have made our lads become a bit ahead of themselves.
Its too early to say we are that good, thing is to be honest I was even starting to believe what he was saying - until yesterday.
Shattered my illsuion now.

Your wealthy Chairman certainly does, throwing the kind of money around that he is doing its no wonder you are doing well! You and Widnes with Mr O'Connor must be the richest clubs in our league by a mile!
Good luck to you but remember what happened to Widnes in 2007 (and us back in time) when Mr Moneyman lose interest and they always do.
You may get the team to do the stuff in the nest 3 years but your ground is way behind SL standard, whats your plans on that front if any?
