Yep i saw that too, He was being interviewed outside his house and said he didn't have the love for the game at all anymore.

Great, sign a player that declares on t.v that he doesn't have love for the game. Their really must be a shortage of signings about. why bother if this is the case, we already have a team that doesn't show heart.

Please do not let this rumour be true! I am really lost for words he is precisely the type of player who apart from odd pieces of brillance on the field can only be viewed as a very negative move. Find it hard to understand how the club can seriously view this possible acquisition as a good step in rebuilding the club.

I just find this whole thing incredible, we are struggling like crazy, so the solution is that we are potentially bringing in a bad apple to help us move on... its just a load of old...

get in some young and talented squad players from SL, we must be able to attract some....

Agreed! Depends on which Cooke turns up if its true. On his day he is a quality player but its all about attitude and consistency.

Its not about giving him chance really is it, if he comes and does well then great, the fact is we should be looking for young talent we can retain, nurture and train to defend who have things to prove, Not just another player at or near then end of their career looking to put some coffers in the pension fund.

The only exception to the rule of getting older is PNG man Makali Aizue who will still be going forward at 50.

Smith, Holroyd, Frank to name just 3 that are past it now i am affraid.

Dont we have enough over 30s? Smith, Holroyd, Frank, Gannon, Aizue...We need youngsters who have something to prove and want to achieve something. Cooke sadly is a player who is not committed and would be a waste. I would rather we replaced some forwards with some young guns who are prepared to work hars. There are other Dominic Maloneys around that are possibly looking for a chance to prove themselves like he did. Often they are quite cheap as well in comparison to a "Name".

This is the problem with the game, all the decent players get snapped up by SL clubs into their massive squads and don't sign for Champ clubs. At one time a player would sign for a lower club to get game time and put himself in the shop window but the w@nkers at the RFL have changed all that and Dual Reg is just another way for SL clubs to get all the talent.
