They will be in the football conference, which is a full time league. Perhaps it is down to greater funding from the FA and league sponsors. The majority of clubs in it are full time

So why did they end up where they were 3 seasons ago.?

The majority of teams in the Conference are full time - in fact at a guess there are probably only two that arent. There isnt a great deal of funding from either the FA or Conference, but I would guess sponsorship money in football is greater than in RL due to the extra games and perception (justified) that football is a more popular sport.

I also dont think that you have to have mega bucks to be full-time. It obviously depends on how much quality you want to have in the squad, but I doubt very much that our wage bill is a million miles away from when we were last in the Conference. The club is well run (regardless of their attitude to the supporters), it is probably doing more commercial activity than ever before, crowds are at a decent level and admission prices are above average.

Hardly rocket science. It doesnt matter what your income is, if you spend more than is coming in then its curtains.

Never said we would do well. Was just justifying why full-time football could well be a possibility should the Shaymen get back into the Conference.
