He's a loose cannon which is what IMO stops him being one of the top back rowers outside of SL and ready to make the step up.

Ha ha! Come on J20 that was an obvious one that i knew you would highlight which he clearly did not start. If you watch the clip you will see that Kavanagh threw the first punch and that there were five players in attendance before Sam arrived to defend his team mate (Nash). Can you highlight any other incidents of this so called "Bully boy"? Probably not! If you actually knew the lad as i do you would quickly realise that he is not a bad or dirty player or a Bully boy as some people would try to make you believe. He is still very young and is finding his way in the game, hopefully he will be in a position to settle back at Halifax but the fact that he has been interesting other clubs speaks volumes of his potential. Ultimately how far he progresses long term in the game is up to him but for people to talk garbage about him because he is a big lad or is prepared to defend himself and his team mates is just not fair.

Only echoing the views of the majority of fans of other sides out their. You clearly know him as you keep stressing and as I have said numerous times he has a lot of ability but hasn't switched clubs so much for no reason mate!

You mentioned the "punch up he started" which is clearly your view and not others. Make your mind up J2O ...is it your view or the majority of others or are you a speculator!

Been told today Barlow has signed super league for 2 years with a option if not playing will be duel registered backto us!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad for the kid, he will do well in SL if he gets his fitness up and improves his penalties.
Friends with his dad so happy in one way but we will defo miss him

Well unless they intend to change the Dual Registration rules, Barlow will not be eligible to play for Halifax should he move to a super league club.

Only a Player currently registered as a professional player with a Super League Club who is under 23 on 31 August in the year preceding the season in which the proposed Dual Registration will apply and who is outside the Super League club’s top 20 players (ranked by Salary Cap Value) for the season in question can be Dual Registered;

How about that high tackle in your home cup match against Bradford? Wasn't it the first tackle/set of the game?

I'm sure you'd agree that he only stayed on the pitch because it was so early in the game.

Can't believe we'd re-sign him after his last spell with us when his attitude was poor. He's never a SL player.

just needs a decent coach, MC didn't get best from him.
When he played for Sheff he was a real danger man.

He can't be dual reg but nowt to stop a loan deal (albeit a little more long term than DC to a certain extent)

He's big enough but his attitude let's him down, I would take Ben black just so we can hug him and thank him for handing us our franchise on a plate.

Viva benny black, we sung to him earlier on in the season and he loved it. Widnes legend.
