Just had a phone call off Tony Abbot and I'm outraged.

I tried to talk to him and ask some questions which I thought were valid and he just kept talking over me and not letting me get a word in so I hung up!

If that's the attitude they're going to have I certainly won't be getting a season ticket.

I got one too. I told him my life story (only took two minutes) and he just ignored me and carried on. I even offered him a fight but he chickened out by continuing to talk over me. He don't 'arf witter on don't he?

Me too. He's obviously made loads of calls, probably didn't have time to chat.

Glad Pete is onboard cheers mate, he will do a good job if he is allowed, that deal with the ever rubbish X Blades is looking silly now as his hands will be tied regards merchandise which is one part of his job surely rasing more income?

On the same subject as the pledge that my lil bro was on about, what about this for an idea.

If you are associated with an amateur rugby league/union club you get a south stand season ticket for £70 until the end of November. Each club could get their numbers and then order their tickets and this may help to get new and old supporters through the turnstyles.

I haven't had a season ticket for the last couple of years as from a financial point of view, there is no point. I generally miss a few games because of holidays/prior commitments so I would end up being worse off having one.

If the club are to go down the pledge route, maybe 3000 tickets sold would end up with £75 tickets. Therefore, this gives a discount to those who are associated with an amateur team, hopefully helping to boost the game at that level too.

Lets face it the current fan base of 1k season ticket holders isn't going to significantly change unless SL comes along - FACT.

So what do you do? you extract maximum value from the 1k you already have... you offer different levels of ticket to appeal to all the segments (like Widnes "golden ticket"). If 5% pay the £600 executive offer thats added value you didn't have before.

you shouldn't look at buying a ST as something to save over the season on match days, look at it as a contribution to HRLFC, so as long as it's affordable and reasonable do it.

When the club eventually hits the heights of SL you will see the marketing completely change and bizarrely the prices possibly reduce, until then it's dig deep and stay loyal.

I call BS. Also just because somebody puts the word FACT dosnt actually mean its true. Wheres the evidence to back up this `FACT`?

The prices the club are charging for non season ticket holders will be a big reason why the crowds won't increase. People won't pay and shouldn't have to pay £18 to sit down and watch part time rugby.
