I've discussed this at length with Fevgrinder and others, and given the job I do you'd think I'd find it easy to put into some kind of perspective.
But this is my achilles heel. I find such generically applied comments wholly offensive as I do the willingness to tar me with the same brush as the aggressors, and because of this I find it difficult to rise above it.

Dialogue and action with the Leigh fans has been nothing short of fantastic - and to be honest, we've got to the point where I consider many of the Leigh lot to be mates now.

I wished it could be similar with the Fax fans but while ever there are some contributors to this forum who would rather perpetuate anger rather than seek concilliation, I fear it is an uphill battle. Not unsurmountable, and it will require an element of developing an ability to ignore their crapola, but an uphill battle all the same.

Robin, that's exactly the reason why i made a point of coming to have a chat with you & Fevgrinder at HT on sunday. Fevgrinder, I've previously only ever met once before over a swift tinny at HT on our most recent visit to your place in the Blue Lagoon with my mate Marky Mark. I offered to bring over a Fax scarf or something similar to pin up in the Lagoon next time I come over.

Aye and it was good to meet you. It will be better over a pint like!!
We had some good craic with some young lads outside the cricketers. They were top lads and up for a laugh.
And I agree dialogue is the begining. But Jeses H Arkwright, some of the posts on here are unbelieveable and have nothing positive to offer whatsoever, though I've noticed over time those posters are begining to appear in the minority now.

Your just as bad at the wind up yourself on other sites RFF, having to comment on anything Halifax related, not getting into arguments or anything but just stating what i see.

Oh I know - I accept that. Like I said on our forum, this stuff is my achilles heel. I ought to be able to deal with it, - process it better, and given the job I do I am a bit disappointed in myself that I don't deal with it better.

I'm a flawed character. But having read some of the stuff I've been generically associated/accused of, if Sheffield won by 70 it wouldn't have been enough!
Looking at it - I honestly accept it looks petty and childish. It's daft, but that's how this crapola has got me feeling - I resent that too!

You are no different to some of us more tamed fans then. I also have had digs before but now try not to do it and calm the situation, the problem being that niggly little comments are just the catalysts for the other to bring up the past. Lets hope next season brings some quality games between both clubs, Perhaps a you win one we win one scenaria could be the best for both clubs ( NO, i am not a match Fixer ) then we cant argue about you kicking our asses and you been bottlers and all that rubbish.

But just so you know RFF, I hope you get golden pointed. ( couldn't resist, i really tried too but at least you will take it as was intended, FUN )

If it gets anywhere near the golden point I'll be in hospital!

My blood pressure is a problem - at Batley this year I briefly lost consciousness for a second or two as I'd got myself so wound up - when Tommy went in right at the end I went nuts and then blacked out fhs!!! Barmy! Watching RL can seriously damage my health so another GP would be almost suicide to watch!!!!!

I've got the GF final and NRC semi this year on DVD, We could watch them together in a swiss hospital as you slowly fade away.

No. Because Sheffield is not a Development Area.

What you need to be asking your Board is why can't Fax afford to run reserve, U18, U16 and U15 teams when you have crowds twice the size of Sheffield's. Or Fev's for that matter, because they do the same on crowds not much better than Sheffield. Where's the money going ?

This is me just talking to myself. (I seem to do that a lot lately, I think it's age slowly creeping up.)

I'm thinking.

Why don't we just support our clubs without all the slagging off, strike counterstrike scenario.
I post something.
Often it starts as banter then before long and we end up hating one another over what??? exactly.
I can never actually work out most of the times why this happens or what it has happened over.

I really want other teams to do well because to simply survive these days at our level has selfless people busting a gut for very little return because they love their clubs and the game.

This week I hope that Leigh and Sheffield really give it to one another and have a cracking game and may the best team win.
Likewise when the winner plays Fev I hope it's a belter.
