Harrison took over a team that was at least the 2nd if not the best team in the league. We now seem happy to be the 4th best team in the league.
It's more a case of being realistic than being happy.
Fax are not the best side at the moment and it's not just down to the coach, the other sides haven't just stood still.
Todays opponents, Dewsbury are a much better side than they were 3 years ago, they along with everyone else want to win games just as much as we do, there not going let us turn up and walk over them regardless of who the coach is.
Todays game after saying it's going to be close and too hard to call with the lead changing hands on several occasions and ends up with 2 points in it why are we surprised at the result?
There are a few very experienced coaches in this division who's teams are not exactly doing anything special.
When KH took over the club it was partly because of fans calling for Calland's head even though we were the second best club in the division, still not good enough.
It was Calland hasn't got a clue, he's rubbish bring in KH look what he has done at Batley, trust in KH, trust in the Rhino. How different now.
The point being.
The BOD probably listened then but now know even when the coach is replaced who can predict his successor would be any better?
Maybe they do know what they are doing based on past experience and are thinking long and hard at the options.
Only Leigh and Fev are clearly better than the rest at the moment and they have spent a lot more than Fax have to get there, outside of these any of the remaining contenders can get the result on any given day against each other.
Will the investment of the big spending 2 show dividends, there's no guarantee.
The truth will be seen when the teams merging form SL and Championship kicks in next year when the big spending Leigh and Fev come up against the SL sides, the SL teams still have a significant advantage.
If Leigh and Fev fail it could come back to bite them big time and it would be the same for us, maybe not as bad as it seems to see how it works out over the next year or so.
