We need to have some realism here.
The club will struggle to raise more than £40,000 from season ticket sales. At this time of year, with no other income and with bills and salaries to pay the club will need the money from sales to pay these. So the big push is important for all clubs at this time of year, especially those that are like Fax and on their uppers.
The playing salary bill will be the biggest outgoing the club has so over the season the £40,000 will get lost in the spend - what it doesn't say is that the money will be in addition to any agreed playing budget. Its just marketing spin.
My understanding is that the club has exceeded £40k from season tickets sales already. They are well ahead of last year on numbers sold (around 70) up, but overall the revenue from the sales is down - circa £8k - due to the tickets being cheaper
However - whereas in the past the club may have been guilty of 'giving' away revenue to entice season ticket sales, this year a more sensible approach has been to exclude the 8's games at the end of the season, and the Summer Bash. Given that the club gets to keep its share of the Summer Bash sales, and that the end of season games are all pay they should more than recoup the £8k, and get a cash boost at the end of the season instead of it all being front loaded.
