Pure specualtion here but if he is staying on like he says then one of the reasons to be removed as a director would be if the company isn't in great financial state which could affect his own business interests if anything major happened. Ultimatley these guys have taken a hell of a lot of hard work and effort to build up their own businesses and it would be silly to risk hurting your own reputation for something which is essentially a hobby.

Quite happy to explain for those who are asking.
Yes it’ll be non - exec and I’m still part of the consortium, nothing has particularly changed other than the time commitments of being a director along with sorting recruitment. I’m still supporting the club financially as promised
So in essence there’s no real change, other than I report to the board more.

That used to be an old argument on here when the club would ask for things to be removed off here. It's not a fans forums place to be censoring fans without good reason.

I don't think the financial health of the company would have anything to do with his resignation as it wouldn't affect any of his other business interests. In my very humble opinion I think the resignation has more to do with he will no longer be involved in any decision making (which requires ratification at board level, basically meaning "he has lost his vote").

Director resigns then really early season ticket sale for next season. Lets hope this is warning sign because it would be easy to jump to that conclusion.

I understand your thought process but durgans business is one of the least successful businesses out of the current directors , with uttley and bannister being the big guns . Also durgan has been very transparent on social media regarding his decision, usually when there’s a problem it’s human nature to be less so .
