I must admit I was "slightly embarrassed" when the cameras focussed on the 20 or so Eagles fans during the match. Not a great advert for the Championship eh? And I'm sure the "older folk" amongst us will remember when there was a "collective groan" whenever Fev got to Wembley ... I think 1983 was the last time when even playing Hull there was a "massively poor crowd". My point here is that they're not great crowd pullers either!
Shame Fax nor Leigh got to the Final to at least "bolster the attendance". I dread to think how many empty seats there'll be! But having said that, best of luck to Sheffield ..... I hope you "turn up" and make a game of it. But this might be the first Championship Final I'll "give a miss" ...
There was 85k in 83 and plenty of us no fear mr damd sight more than this years final maybe best getting you facts right before posting there was a much bigger crowd than this years against 2 supposed big clubs, as for fax bolster crowd you took less than us last year so how did you come to that conclusion

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
Sport is played on the pitch , and the Eagles were well worth the win tonight , they have earned their place in the final , can they win 4 in a row ?
Be a tall order to get up for 4 games in a row but not impossible, are you coming for a drink with the flat cappers mate we will be there around 11 and i may just buy you a drink again
Who said 1982, you "dummy"? I said 1983. Attendance roll of shame re Fev at Wembley ...
1972 - Scouse v Leeds - 89,495 1973 - Fev v Bradford - 72,395 - OUCH! 1974 - Warrington v Fev - 77,400 - OUCH! 1975 - Widnes - ve Warrington - 85,098 - ahhhh, back to normal
... further down ....
1982 - Hull v Widnes - 92,147 1983 - Fev v Hull (like I said) - 84,969 - OUCH!
... Just telling it how it is!
To be honest, should it really matter?
So long as Dickens lifts that trophy that will be the main thing on every fev fans mind, be it in front of 6 people or 6,000 people (my prediction for GF attendence)
And to be fair, of those listed above, we hardly have as big of a population as the widnes's Hulls etc that are listed above also, ever considered that was the reason for a dip in attendences?
.....Just maybe telling it how it is!

You are such an easy draw sometimes Tony, so damned easy. You wanna leave off the Bombardier or whatever it is you've been supping. Why don't you just doff your cap to the two teams that have got to the GF ? I myself have been critical of the support of many clubs in our division over the last few years but for Sheff to get to Leigh at short notice thanks to their ass of a coach/administrator wanting to play last sunday isn't so easy. There was more than twenty odd Beagles fans there tonight.... There'll be more of them than us at HJ leave it at that.
