I've not posted for a few days, I've been a little bit busy with far more serious matters than massaging the bruised egos of certain posters. and nor should I feel the need to justify a question to every man or woman and their dog.

But here goes anyway.

Malcolm, I am equally disappointed at your negative reaction and creating a post specifically aimed at me, the post was not directly or solely aimed at you, if you took personal offence then I am sorry you feel that way, note, I am sorry you feel that way! I'm not sure some of the inner circle would give up positions held within the club just like that though, or genuinely deem it in the Clubs best interests to pass on the baton, for some it has become a way of life, but in essence the point about people needing to step forward and take responsibility and pressure off some people is one I wholeheartedly support. It would however be quite wrong to assume any moral high ground by you or anyone by stating what you have done for the club, or what you have charged, a great many people have assisted the club over the years in many different ways, if someone gave their last pound or their first £100,000 I would not judge one morally inferior to the other, for some it has been time and/or services, and others its been their own personal finances in different degrees

Littlerich, let me get this right, you're requesting private information of a new poster be cross referenced with another poster who agrees some sentiments? are you for real? and with no authority, clearly a poor understanding of Data Protection or evidence of anything, other than they do not share the same opinions as you? I'd also like to point out that everyone on here has a 'first post', I would hardly see it as suspicious because they have an 'opinion' .

It's noticeable how many have come out of the shadows and have shown they think they are above any criticism, but are quite happy to spend endless evenings criticising other posters, their own team, the coaching staff, the RFL, SL or the Championship etc. Its been an interesting exercise if nothing else, and does highlight a few things..

I've watched Fax for approaching 30 years, overseas and UK, I've been treated to some brilliant away days, by opposing Clubs and Directors and have had some truly fantastic times and met some great people. Just recently I was very encouraged to see how approachable and public facing the Leigh Directors and staff were, a philosophy that Ian Millward reinvigorated many years ago at Hilton Park, I've seen this in France also, and at many other clubs in our own competition and I have to be honest, and brutally so, the experience has on occasions left me feeling more valued as a customer at RL rivals than at my own Club. I still think we have a lot of work to do and fall a long way short of being the true Community Club that we aspire to be, I still see far too many young fans with Halifax links and post codes being absorbed into other RL clubs, People on here can say what they like, massage egos, pat each others back, lick their wounds, hug each other, arrange a pint, tell people how much they love each other, but perhaps you ought to take a look around the stands on Match day, look across the same faces doing the same jobs, and observe the terraces are emptier than for many years, and consider the following, can we just carry on as we are we?

I won't feel the need to hide or create a new account to pat myself on the back, or look for some loving words from Avatars or Virtual Friends, as to be quite honest the numbers don't lie, clearly more and more people are finding other things to do, and I won't be responding to individual questions on a regular basis, I simply don't have the time or the inclination, If people genuinely want the best for the Club then I would start with an honest assessment of what were doing and what were trying to achieve, and simply answering the same thing we've always done and at the same cost , might actually be raising an interesting point! the Club needs to move forward, nobody is bigger than the Club.

Oh and seems as though nobody really answered the questions, and the above should cover Q2, I can formally release my own personal opinion on who I think has improved on the playing front over the last two years, nobody!

I agree with your last words,but the issue here is the problems
we have at fax are not related to who runs the shop,washes kit,
take photos etc etc.

I`m not sure that his origional observations were directed at volunteers , some of the things in the last post of justthebasicfax I can have some empathy with and as someone who has followed Fax for nearly 60 yrs I will just say that "if you don`t even recognise that there may be a problem then how on earth are we ever going to fix it ".Isn`t anyone looking at the crowds for instance ? so he may have ruffled a few feathers so what , maybe he could have been talking about me ? Well I`ll take it, I`m not so precious that I can`t accept opinions other than the norm` it is time to take a step back and take a look at the club without our rose tinted spectacles on . I would love people like him to join the Supporters Trust and run with a few of any ideas he can come up with as like him I am worried about dwindleing terrace supporters.

Absolutly, Its utter rubbish that you can't comment unless your coming down and showing us you can do it better for free in your own time that Irks me, Yes the club and fans appreciate the work that goes in but why shouldnt comments be passed, lets carry on regardless and watch us reach the Dizzy heights of Batleys crowds, After all the team isnt performing, Oh and i made a comment about the smoking ban will put people off coming to watch and a few weeks after the crowds are even lower, I was told " its nothing to do with the club ". Surely when it impacts on the money taken in gate fee's its everything to do with the club and the council could be approached as to find out why and communicate this to fans. I still feel deep down that we might turn the season around with a GF. We just need some inspiration, both on and off field. New York was a great idea but planning it for a Whitehaven game might have been the Bananna skin there, Fev would have been better for getting the crowds up. Next season is the biggest in recent history for this club and i dont feel we have gone forward at all. I agree with Justthebasicfax, things have gone stale and not just the Kit.

No, you got it wrong.

I didn't request anything. Admins have the facility to check ISP's. I didn't say they should. I didn't request that they do it. I just posted a fact. I merely surmised at what an Admin person might do.

It doesn`t even follow that they are the same person though ,strangly enough people used to be always thinking that I was posting under two names because my hubby and I share the same e-mail etc.Funnily enough though we don`t agree on most things so people who thought that must think I have a split personality.

Also, I don't think there's anything wrong with Justthebasicfax's right as a forum poster to post what he did. Nor is it wrong of Malcolm to defend himself and have a go back. It's a forum. That's what forums are for. Discussion, revisionism, criticism and opinions. If I have a go at Chris Smith for some of his posts it's because I disagree with him. It doesn't mean that I don't think he should be allowed to post just because sometimes he criticises the club. Neither should we stop the likes of Charlie Carioli coming on here talking jibberish just because he's a Leigh fan. Everyone's fair game.

Faxhali, all council owned property's are No Smoking Zones.
I don't smoke, dislike passive smoke and don't understand why someone can't go 90 minutes without a fag.
(no puns please)
BUT, I do see your point and would have thought that an area could be set aside for smokers, perhaps the car park inside the South Stand turnstiles.
Last home game I saw the silly sight of the stewards walking to the back of that car park to tell someone to extinguish their cig. (not the stewards fault)
I just wonder if it's some silly health and safety issue, eg claim culture re passive smoking, as the bloke said "I can hardly burn down a concrete stand" fortunately he took it in good spirit.
Mind you think ourselves lucky if we go to watch Town we can't have a pint.

As for not going forward, yes so far our season has been disapointing by our standards, early Cup exit, early NRC exit and some poor games.
BUT we are 3rd, heading for a Grand Final v Leigh
I honestly think that big things are happening behind the scenes, as I have said before I don't think a business man of Mr Abbots caliber would back a losing cause.
Lets get there on Sunday, it's a big day.

For me and I've criticised the club before its about being realistic in our expectations of what can / can't be achieved. We have a dedicated BOD who have done wonders for the club with little assistance cash wise. We have a number if volunteers who do steller work FOC etc. However I do see why justthebasicsfax has asked the question about the back office potential. Things like communication can always be improved in any business, better relationships can be built, business can be refreshed and revitalised with a few changes and Fev are prime examples of this. Nobody in my opinion is criticising the club. I do agree that elements of the club have become quite stale and fresh ideas are welcome. When I was involved with the Trust the hardest thing we used to find was people who were willing to help and give us their time. We have dozens of keyboard warriors who are willing to voice opinions and criticise the club. I regularly used to ask on here for help and the odd one or two would help and we were grateful but we could of achieved so much more. This is probably true of the office, with more money we'd have more staff etc and I know these guys work on very small wages so to even think about replacing them is hard enough as you'd never get anybody to do the job and be dedicated for so little. Sadly money makes the world go round and our sport is barely keeping afloat. I agree improvements can be made so if your passionate about it offer some help. These issues seem like easy fixes but they're not without cash. Which is why Tonys extra cash is fabulous as it could just help the club push forward on this front.
