First half was excellent, really good play with the ball flowing freely through plenty of hands. Second half was poor, switched off and didn't look too bothered. The calls from the ref didn't help, but that's the way it goes.
One thing definitely highlighted for me today was the kicking, we need someone else to kick as tyrer just ain't cutting it and this could cost us close games going forward.
they dropped a lot of ball in the first half in their own 20. IMO should've been a bigger score for us

Does any body know who the clown was who walked in front of the stand just behind the dug out shouting "Harrison out" Strange how he said it within Karls hearing but was facing the stand and waling very quickly.
Was it Charlie? I did not see any waling though.
Good performance for about 60 minutes and then did not see much of the ball after that. Played some good rugby as well and the lads brought in stepped up to the plate. Rettie had a good game and must be in in front of Potts, Manning was good in the centre, and again I think Harrison has to leave out Heaton and Cowling next week as both have been poor and Manu does not look out of place. Spencer went well and got stuck in in both attack and defence and its worth noting we look a lot better when Holden is on the pitch instead of Mennall.

No I think Charlie would have been at the Leigh game.

Pretty much sums it up. Holden will get better with more game time.
Mennell does offer something different with his cut out passes, if the timing to Rettie had worked a bit better he would have scored a couple more.
Fieldhouse had a good game but looked to be blowing again in the last ten minutes like last week, if he could get his fitness levels up on the quicker pitches he will be hard to handle.
Agree that Ryan could be awesome in this league if he "lightens the load" a tad. Showed a bit of what he's capable of today, but he could be a real star in RL if he set his mind to it.
Ben J is awesome! He should take on the line at every opportunity... and the rest of the team should know what he and Tommy are capable of and make sure they move up in support.
The comedy acts on Wayne's wing were cancelled out by the excellent tries (especially the first) that he scored. Wayne had a tremendous game today.
Steve had a bad (kicking) day at the office today (albeit they weren't the easiest of kicks). Glad it didn't count for anything!
Manno at centre was interesting. Strong running (as always), but (and I might be wrong), he'd need to be tutored in the passing game if it was taken further. Plus, he'll need to stand a bit taller in the tackle, as opposed to the "lean forward" he's developed as a 2nd row. Same comment for Luke A as well - I wish he'd stand up a bit more rather than trying to gain the extra yard every time - there's always the chance of the offload then.
920 crowd today, with the vast majority supporting Fax. Still sadly lacking support at Championship and below in the game. The telling thing for me looking round today, was how old we all were! Ok, a fair few exceptions, but the majority were (like me) from the "glory days" for Fax in the '80s. There's nothing wrong with all of us continuing to follow the club, but we don't seem to have a vast number of younger supporters (under 30!) compared to the rest of us?

Congratulations to the players today, seems like it was always in control. Didn't go today as there was plenty to do in the garden and the obligatory b-b-q.
I think you make a fantastic point about the average age of a Fax fan, not as bad as Bradford PA (70) but it must be knocking on 50. Quite a lot look like they could do with getting rid of a few pounds as well looking on Smug Pug. Other than throwing money at it I don't know what the answer is, maybe the council give us and the Shaymen a shop rent free for 12 month, re-connect with the Town centre.....I digress.
We need to get to the end of June with only one more reverse (you'd have to say that would be Leigh) and beat Fev at home. Next game for me is Keighley, some cracking Taylor's pubs and a short train journey.
Ain't gonna change my mind on that grumpy dinosaur we've got at the helm.
No I think Charlie would have been at the Leigh game.
Very true HJ , I was at the Leigh v Donny game , as for Waling ?I think GFBs means Wailing , but I like Fax everyone knows this ,I prefer Fax to Fev and the Seagulls , and did predict a Fax win , I think your next few games will be harder , but you don't need me to tell you this .
I think the 2nd spot is still yours if you want it , I was accused of being Patronising when saying this , but my opinion is still the same , Fax are not a bad team ,its my position to call for Big Karls head , it doesn't matter to me who is Coach , I like my friends smiling , so a HAPPY Halifaxjohn , Bentleyman , and Littlerich , means a Happy Charlie , hope to see you all on 11th June . .
Besides my almost exact prediction and a good performance by Fax, another plus was the travelling fans. I was surprised by how many travelled over 'tops, especially after last weeks debacle, and it just goes to show that if we can be challenging for honours the fans will come in numbers and back the team. Dewsbury next! Cheery Tree, shudds, The Publican 5.5% Mmm!
