Ian, will you be able to play a first team pack with all the suspensions on the way?
And with Ridyards "problems" what will your half back combination be?

Nobody not even me knows what Hock and Acton will receive by the way of suspensions ,or Mickey Higham, but we have Patterson and Fui,near ready to return, along with Dixon and we could bring Spencer back from Oldham, don't worry I'm not.As for Riddy? He is fit it's down to Jukesy who plays at half back, Drinkwater and Reynolds are doing OK, McNally is not far off full fitness, and don't be surprised to see a new signing  for the coming 8s, we will all be fit for the visit of Fax in July, even Frank and myself. :thumb:

And Behold, a pale horse. And on his back his name was death.

The weekend starts on a Monday.

The league press can't count then, there were 17 referrals. 8 for Leigh (3 no charge) and 9 for Swinton (4 no charge).

Look here... http://www.rugby-league.com/the_rfl/disciplinary rather than trusting to dodgy newspapers!

Sparky , I've seen the referrals list for the Swinton game,it was a very bizarre game, the 2 guys who were involved first Higson and But received a no Charge, believe it or not Hock was provoked ,and Higham offence wasn't that bad,I'm not sure what suspensions they will receive, some say Hock may not play again this season due to his suspension , but I hope they are wrong.

Well Charlie, all I can say is that Fax have had a grand total of 5 referrals this season, all of which have resulted in "no charge". Given the way our forwards bossed Fev at the weekend, you can't say we play it soft.

yes I believe Hock was provoked from the video I saw.
He came around the back of the melee, picked a target (who had his back to hock) and then grabbed him from behind and dragged him to the floor aggressively and certainly not in a way as just breaking up the melee. Then the swinton number 20 grabbed hocks arm to calm the situation and then Hock let rip with 5 or 6 heavy blows/uppercuts to the head whilst Ridyard held him down.
In Ridyards defence he was trying to break it up as he is not that type of player, but inadvertently by holding the player down, he was giving hock a barrage of free shots at the swinton player. I also note that the swinton player he assaulted is a winger and Hock likes wingers and half backs as his opponents because he is such a cowardly and s**thouse.
Charlie take off your rose tinted sunglasses and stop defending the undefendable. He is a disgrace to the game and should be banned before he does some serious damage to a player. Lets hope the RFL find a pair and ban this thug the game does not need him and nor does your club.

Best performance of the season by some distance, we would beat anyone in this league with a performance like that. Hopefully we can now kick on and replicate somewhere near that performance in the rest of our games. I still believe we have the 2nd best group of players in the league but for whatever reason we have under performed for much of the season. We know we are capable I just think the belief is not there at times.
I'd go a step further if we could replicate that performance in the million pound game we could win it..not getting carried away though,80 minute performances only happen very sporadically(can't remember the last).

BIJ you seem very well informed about the Swinton game , I was there , but haven't seen the recordings,be.ieve me though whatever Gaz Hock is or you suggest he is,he is NO coward,Coaches and players target him every week, but for most of this season both he and Acton have kept their cool, the Swinton game seemed like a free for all on both sides,as I said Higson and Butt the guys who started it have been given a No Charge verdict.
As for myself?I try not to wear rose tinted specs, and always give my opinion, sometimes I'm right , sometimes wrong, but I won't have a go at a guy for defending himself, or if he is targeted by opposing players, it used to happen with Tim Street and Tony Cotterell a few years ago.
Again they will be dealt with today and probably banned, but we have a big enough squad to take in our stride and keep moving.Take care,I'm at the Shay on Sunday.. :thumb:
