SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
As I posted when the draw was made , both clubs should have got together and sorted out free transport to this game for the Fax fans , there will be money available just as Leigh and Widnes collaborated it the last round , then the two clubs could have put out a clear message to any idiots from either club would not be tolerated and any incitement to cause trouble would result in life time bans and prosecution
An opportunity to put the actions of a minority from last October behind both clubs and move on has been missed IMO
yes the tape of the game clearly shows a few idiots from fax taunting the fev fans for a few seconds. the main word there being a few maybe 5 but that was our minority of the 100s entering the pitch as advised for safety. then followed dozens of fev fans running down their stand in reaction to a few young idiots. so basicly im saying you clearly have a bigger monority of idiots willing to cause trouble and it showed clearly outside before and after the game too and many games since when your not even playing fax
What about the fire in the stand? I suppose nothing to do with Fax fans. Also when you scored the equalising try there was deffinately a scuffle in the Fax end.
So we have a fire in the fax end, 5 (yeah right) fax fans taunting the Fev fans and a scuffle in the fax end. I suppose this was caused by just your 'few' minority of thugs. I can't comment on the incidents at Fev this season because I was in the clubhouse when these took place but I suppose you have a full eye witness incident that it was caused by hundreds of Fev thugs.
Im with Pencil all the way here, after reading the comments here on this particular thread, well it just reminds me back to the playground and the arguements we had as kids, Lets start and be adults about this, some supporters say they are boycotting the game, what good is that going to do, because i tell you what if i was a Halifax player i wouldnt be too happy knowing that some of the supporters were not prepared to get behind the players. We are supposed to be Rugby League lovers, ive witnessed many things that have happened at games through out the years ive supported Featherstone from both sets of supporters, both home and away, and yes ive reported what ive seen and will always continue to do so, yes it as spoilt my enjoyment of the game at times, but it hasnt stopped me going to these grounds/stadiums again. So come on your team needs you!
Cheers mate. I usually find that for 1 idiot you find hundreds of great RL fans wherever you go.
Thank you for that, on the day when the Fax fans were on the pitch and some of our so called fans rushed to the side of the pitch, i was down there pulling some of them back because they hadnt a clue what was happening and thought at first it was a pitch invasion.
I went for a pee while the stopage was on and the anouncement in the toilet was clear that all fans should evacuate on to the pitch. I asked a steward if that was the case but even he wasn't sure so I could understand the confusion. However, again I am not naive enough to think that some of hour loons would 't have been looking for trouble.

As a neutral stood in the Fev end last October , I didn't notice any Fax fans taunting anybody , unless you consider , as ' taunting ' ? , I did however see quite a number of non colour wearing Fev ' fans ' charge down to the front of the stand being very aggressive and actually trying to get over the barriers , it was plain to anybody that the Fax fans had been told to enter the playing area , as for the scuffle at the opposite end , that was more to do with stewards telling fans to sit down , rather than anything else
I obviously cannot comment on any events when Fax visited PO road this year , however I did witness the disruption against Leigh , to my mind that was a combination of an emotional finish to the game and some stupid behaviour on both sides , which when fueled by a long days drinking escalated , but was then further ignited by one or two idiots , not to mention the ' golf ball ' crew waiting outside
There is a problem at Fev , just as most clubs have , but it seems Fevs is more to the fore at the moment , and I don't think it will just go away without some positive action by the club to stop it

You must have been blinded by all that smoke if you did not see some fax fans come over to the Fev end when they were told to go on the pitch.
As for positive steps by the club we tried that the last time Fax visited us by arranging a safe journey in and away from the ground. However this was blasted by the Fax fans on this forum.

as already stated, its on video and about 3-5 fax fans came too close to the fev stand and waved to provoke them.

..
Why should Featherstone have to arrange a safe journey in and away from the ground.
Is it just for Halifax or do you have to do it for every visiting team.
I can think of no other ground I have ever visited (for Rugby League) where "a safe journey in and away from the ground" has ever been in doubt.
Incidentally, I will be there. I would like to park in the club car park, i.e not be segregated, I will have a couple of beers in the upstairs bar and I will stand behind the posts in both halves. If and when I am abused by Featherstone supporters I will ignore it. (as I did at the Championship game) I would like to leave by whatever exit I like and return to my car peaceably. Not asking too much I hope.

I assume you were stood up with the Fev fans , so only as blinded as you
To tell the truth segregating the fans and their vehicles isn't the answer , it is integration before , during and after the match by the likes of your good self and the many good decent Fev fans that we need , we are watching RL at Post Office Road , not football at Elland Road , although personally I think that is part of the problem
I have always enjoyed my visits to Featherstone and want them to continue just as I am sure your club wants and needs away support to attend
Oh dear you have over stepped the mark pal. Yer it might have been Fax fans smoking in the stand causing that fire but it could also have been fans attending the Championship One Final or even staff who knows? We have been through this all before. As for who attacked Dave Singer well what you trying to say it was not even a Fev fan? Well let me tell you I was in the same coach park and was there only minutes after the attack apparently (I did not know until I had boarded my coach and the driver told me who was from Leeds by the way and he said it was Fev fans who attacked one of our fans) and I do know there was a lot of very angry looking Fev fans hanging around outside their coaches, luckily for me a decent Fev fan walking near me as we got near to all the coaches warned me to put my flag away (I have said this before a huge thanks to him) as we approached the coach park. This after how long were we in the ground celebrating our win 15 to 20 minutes at least so why were they hanging around? We all know it was Fev fans so do not try deflect this onto who? Anyway enough lets concentrate on the match, we are underdogs and I would expect Fev to win but you never know its cup football, come on Fax!
How is it overstepping the mark PAL it is a typical case of double standards the same double standards that pisss the majority of us right off. You are assuming the attacker was a Fev fan with good reason but there is no proof otherwise there would of been a conviction. But we are slated for assuming with good reason the fire starter was a Fax fan. Incidently the law of the land sees arson as just as serious an offence as assault, thats not me saying it either its the law of the land
