The bit that beggars belief is why the hell they would want only a 3 day rest before playing the bissest game of the season for either team and what that would mean lots more money to the club. Totally Bizarre !!!! They have picked and chosen when and where to play this season....Enough is enough !!
Simply because we feel we have a better chance of winning the game at BL, where we can only play on Sunday.
It's getting ridiculous now, not fair on fans who have to organise things around this game, maybe swap work shifts, organise baby sitters or whatever. Both clubs need to come to an agreement sharpish, ideally by the close of play today.

What so you have more chance of beating us at bramall land as opposed to Don Valley ?. why ?. its a pitch and your team will be the same wherever they play. Excuses i am affraid, Any proper coach would want the longest rest possible going into the Biggest game of the season, it really is that simple. Do you have any Injuries at the moment, just out of curiousity ?. As put earlier the RFL state it must be played before saturday and you can accomodate this by playing at the Don valley so why then try for sunday when they already state before saturday ?. Obvouisly not aimed at you ESO, more at the club organisors ( if there are any ).

I hear ya mate, as it goes I agree with the club that we do have more of a chance at BL then DV due to it being more of a "home" for us (played many more games there than DV this season) and we are usually able to drum up a pretty good atmosphere, something which is near on impossible at Don Valley. It may only be a psychological advantage, it may only be worth a couple of points, it may not be an advantage at all, but that's the way I see it.
Only injury at the moment is Alex Rowe who is out for the season anyway, Menzie Yere is suspended so will miss the game whenever it's played.

I agree with you there. People have to make arrangements. I have arrangements to make. If the two clubs just cannot agree then the RFL needs to grow a pair and tell the clubs when it is to be played.
We want it at the lane, better atmosphere, closer to the pitch, better ground etc, Uni*ted don't want us playing before their game on Saturday so we'll have to play Sunday, you lot are kicking up a fuss cos you want it on Friday night, but at the end of the day if you wanted a say in when the playoff games should be played you should've probably won a few more games earlier on in the season. As it happens I agree that, although it happens week in week out in the regular season, whoever wins out of us two will be at a disadvantage when we play the final eliminator due to the Sunday/Thursday turnaround. Although I have to be honest, I think it'll all be academic anyway as I think Leigh and Featherstone are currently streets ahead of anything else in this league.
Enjoy the game (whenever it may be!)
They were not 'streets ahead' when we beat them both away earlier in the season.
i'd be worrying about playing Fax if i were you, and not wheather fev or leight are as you say 'streets ahead'.

Anything can happen on the day, we took you to the cleaners at BL earlier in the season so technically we must be better than Leigh and Featherstone. Doesn't work like that.
One thing I will say for Halifax is that you usually turn up in the big games. Beating Leigh and Featherstone away, winning the GF last season, running Leigh close in the NRC final this season. I am under no illusions that it will be a very tough game against Fax, one Fax will probably enter as favourites regardless of the final league standings. I also think it's a winnable game though, something I'd be more skeptical of if we were playing Leigh or Featherstone.

I dont blame you for that last summary, The one thing we missed all year is consistancy, Its the business end of the season now and if they go into it mentally prepared and the rub of the grass comes off for us then we could easily go all the way, The same can be said for Sheffield who have had some good results this year.
