SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Correct Howard, and licencing has widened that gap, but its still no excuse for not following fairly basic business principles, to make more profit and grow your business requires either more sales ( existing product or new ) or an increase in prices, I'm sure we all agree which option we genuinely have available

Crowd awas under egged if your ark me but SL season tickets were included so maybe that's the reason.

On other issues I thought we were the better rugby playing team today, to be honest they were crap!
Thought Harrison waited too long for subs, cost us first try. They then scored with kicks and penalties in the sixth, were we that stupid or was the Ref such a Dick?
Seemed like if it was us it was a knock on, for them a ball steal.

Great effort today, hope we can do the same next week.

No offence intended.

Not a sad and cynical view John. Thought you knew me better!

I was just trying to speak as a Fax fan that lives a long way away, doesn't get to Fax much, does as much as he can, but one who feels increasingly disengaged from the club.

This season is the big one, particularly if the club wants to avoid private investment in order to chase the middle eight. I think the team we have is good enough but are other facets of the club? Do we make enough effort to make other people believe they are?

Case in point is today's opponents. Were they ever really super league class? Course not. But they made enough noise to make people believe they were. We could easily be in their position with some hype and effort.

As Rich said, we just appear to be coasting and existing. Just trying to be honest john, sorry if it offended but opinions are like booty holes!

We could be in the position that Widnes are in but how big would our debt be? Who's going to stump up the cash?

Which would you prefer Rich, honesty or spin?

Total garbage Freddie and is based on what "honesty" you know nowt mate of what Mt Abbott wanted and all this type of post will do is have him more inclined to walk away and that's being brutal honest as you say.

In a licence system rich yes, but we dont have that system anymore, no club needs to be ' locked into ' a commitment to bancrupt itself anymore, every club can and should pay its way to the level it can afford

The challenge to the clubs is to raise its level constantly, it really is that simple

You think Faxcar? Don't mean to offend Mr Abbott or anyone, just saying it as I see it!

Tell me, since the Shay sale didn't come off, what news/advertising/contact with the fans have you seen?

I have nowhere mentioned where I think the club have been honest or dishonest and don't claim to know anything, just an observation is all.

Maybe you can put your vitriol to one side and answer the question I really asked, would you prefer brutal honesty, moral raising spin or complete silence?

If we had played one of the poorer teams in SL like Bradord or London we could well have caused a shock today.

Is he? So rumours of him wanting to walk away a few weeks back were not true.

Personally If I were the club I would be preparing for when he walks not if.

Every club should prepare for when their owner leaves. This is exactly why super league is built on sand, bar three or four clubs.

There is a lot if sense in my friend Mr Starbug's words
