For your benefit again (the air must be thin in northowram) One shareholder has put considerable funds (more than the others) to keep the club afloat at different times and has never asked for or took a penny back out of the club in return. To me he deserves all the plaudits....

As for certain others they've both taken their "donations" back from the club and with interest. Plus are still wanting more money either allegedly still "owed" to them or to sell their shares....(20k/40k as I understand)

One shareholder constantly paid his way no matter his position for any dining etc, the others certainly DID NOT do the same...

So to me as much as they are often looked upon as good guys, I'm not so sure they "gave" as much as they'd have everyone believe...

So stop trying to insinuate other things from my post, I thought you had a semblance of intelligence.

Im glad you cleared it up as you looked like you were insinuating some good people had ripped the club off. Maybe best if you put names to your post so we all know which of the shareholders have taken back more than they should have. It should be pretty easy to back up your claims as well as any money paid back would have to be accounted for on the balance sheets.

Well I’ve no idea what’s going on here, i’m not in the inner circle so only know a few of the names and even fewer of those in any personal way.

Can somebody just talk plain English and discuss the issue instead of continuous snide comments and pointed remarks.

Or if not, shut the hell up until such time they really have something to say.

Names Chris, we want names. Which shareholders have taken more from the club than they put in? So we have a group that looks like they lack integrity and their unofficial spokesperson not only lacks integrity but also bottle. By the way I know you are presuming, but I have no vested interest in this and are just a fan that would like the truth to come out one way or another. I do however feel bad for you Chris that you are been fed information in the hope you would stir some things up by a group that includes people who have tried this stuff before which is one of the main reasons that the majority shareholder will not even entertain them.

I think you may be right GFB... However the sentiment and reality surrounding the posts original intentions still exists...

To what degree or if the group can ever move forward is another question. There are other things I need to address first....

People either like you or loathe you on here and I personally aren't bothered which camp I fall in. Irrespective of anybodies views on here I'll always respect their thoughts etc, whether I think they're right or not. I'm as opinionated as the next man....

I still say there is an opportunity here for the club, HOWEVER, I now have to look at the info I've been given alongside other conversations I've had today.

When I'm wrong I'll hold my hand up and apologise. I've possibly been hung out to dry a tad but that's nobodies fault but my own and as I said earlier I still think there are some good people ready to help the club move forward....

If we are all as passionate about the club as this forum would suggest then we're all seeking the same thing...

So apologies to those people (you know who you are) who were/are upset, which I believe justifiably so. Therefore I am very sorry.

We can still hopefully muster something from this but the club is definitely in a better place and on a better footing due to some recent changes and actions put in place.....

In my experience 10 People working together on something like this is a recipe for disaster. Wigan had a similar situation pre Maurice Lindsay coming in. The club was on it's knees. Once a sensible structure was put in place the rest is History.

Looking at the accounts on companies house the club has made around £140,000 profit for the last 2 years (but is still insolvent in accounting terms). If they went full time, which is the only realistic way to get into superleague then wages of say average £30,000 for twenty players would be needed. That's £600,000 per year. That would leave the club loss making to the tune of £460,000 a year. Funding that loss beyond for 5 years would potentially be difficult for these "white knights". Yes with success income may go up but this is no given.

Notwithstanding any of the above, from an outside perspective I find it very strange that a consortium wanting to take over a club post their intentions on a fans forum. That's just totally unprofessional. Especially as there appears to be no detail available.

It's almost an ego massaging for those involved perhaps ? A bit like Donald Trump with twitter.
