And Behold, a pale horse. And on his back his name was death.

The weekend starts on a Monday.

No, we paid £30000 for Ridyard, they threw Beswick in as a bonus.

No disrespect and it's just a cautious approach but does it not look strange that he would choose to plumb for Fev to spend these 6 and 7 figures sums.

What advantage does he see in Fev over the other clubs he has had some involvement in.

I suppose only Faisal can answer that but lets take the clubs he's been associated with.
Wigan. Probably the game's most successful club who will remain successful with or without probiz. He would still remain a 'smallish fish' at Wigan and his personal and business profile wouldn't improve massively.
Cas. A club on its botty with seemingly no way up playing in a ground falling to bits. Probiz would have to pump in millions and have total control of the club to just achieve mediocrity again having little impact on his personal/business portfolio.
So then... a championship club. For a much more modest outlay that significantly reduces fiscal risk to probiz, a club can be brought to prominence, made SL ready that isn't burdened with the level of debt some SL clubs are. If that clubs gets into SL it will be the 'Probiz' factor massively impacting on his business/personal operations.
So I suggest the question should be 'why fev not fax'? And again I suppose only FN or members of the then fax bod could tell us with any degree of accuracy.

FAILURE ISN'T ABOUT FALLING DOWN, FAILURE IS STAYING DOWN..........

Re: Fev for SL : Sat Aug 24, 2013 9:23 am
His money is futile 'cos the game is doomed at every level, it'll merely support players & staff's rent/mortgage shopping bills for a while.
What he really needs to do, or his ilk, is take hold of the game and shake it by the throat, get rid of RFL hangers-on such as Jon Sharp (or blunt as he's known in those circles, 'cos he apparently doesn't live up to his name) who for some reason is head of the referee's nowadays. That the dirge they send out to offiaciate in some fixtures ( and i don't just mean SL or championship ) that i've watched over the last couple of years is sacriledge, they're ruining the game and all because they're tied into an RFL funded contract. What actually did Richard Lewis bring to our game ? What actual points did he strengthen ? Is the game in better shape than when he took over ?
Attendances are awful throughout the game generally & can't possibly support the outgoings of most clubs, so mr Probiz's money is vital to a club, end of story. They can dress it up how they like ( at any given club BTW ) but without a benefactor such as him, there'd be no "building for the future" to me that just means paying out contract money.......
In Fev's case, they do have a solid infastructure with their player development & are going through a stadium upgrade and those things as far as i'm aware were w.i.p before he tied his camels up on the Big Sam stadium car-park, but who else have this going on ? Only a tiny handful of clubs.
The birth of full time RL / SL in this hemisphere was to bring the playing standard closer to the southern hemisphere standard. By christmas we'll know how successful this 20 year programme has been. That's the official line of clap-trap, in reality it was a desperate attempt to put a competetive edge on Wigan/Maurice Lindsay's dominance and destruction of the game at the top of the domestic scene.

Anyway, Hull for the cup today for my money. That'll jinx 'em !

Ahh, the old "badge-kiss" gesture LOL

He does right if he can just *role* out of bed & get to the ground. If he rolls outta the other side of his bed will he just reach DW stadium, big brother club & parish godfather-like  proper ambitious then, eh ?

Good luck to Ridyard, any player that can open us up in the last minute of the NRC final & set up the winning score must be a good 'un, I bet Fev wish they had one of those mwuhahahahaha

Kiss the badge!! Brilliant. I've seen it all now. Some fans are so deluded and still think it's 1953 or something. Priceless.

I remember Sam Barlow kissing the badge in a couple of games for us and nobody can question his loyalty.

Wigan the most successful club wouldn't improve his personal and buisness profile????
Well it would do more good than harm that's for sure!!!

Cas. The word is he walked because they wouldn't let him take total control, not that he didn't want to, decaying ground and all!!!

Same at Fax, my info is they did not want him to have total control so soon as his motives were unclear, as soon as they had doubt and he was asked to back his words up and he didn't get his own way he was off.

In truth Fev were his forth attempt to get into the game, but why, what have they got that he is so in love with so as to spend a "modest outlay" on, allready in the hundreds of thousands.
The trend is, he wants total control with his people in the key positions.

Part quote.
"So I suggest the question should be 'why fev not fax'? And again I suppose only FN or members of the then fax bod could tell us with any degree of accuracy."
End quote.

To think only Faisal had a say in the matter is conservative to say the least, it's not a one way street to decision making. Could it be that all the other clubs did not choose him!!

This modest outlay so far spent will not achieve SL status never mind to the heights of challenging the top teams that he is talking about, to do that he will have to spend millions with a guarantee of nothing.

London the club mentioned to be replaced have had one backer with a figure quoted as 17 million invested in them in the press with what you see now as a return.

If you are a Fev supporter the natural thing to do is close ranks and be protective of the club, if you want to simplify it and reason it was a choice between Fev or Fax that's your choice and if your comfortable with what he has and is doing fine but as you know there are Fev fans that are unsure just as I am.

I was not having a dig or comparing anything with anyone, I really hope it is for the good of Rovers and only time will tell.

They didn't hear him whisper " Goodbye Leigh it's been good, BUT", when he kissed it though.
