It isn't the time to ' act ' , it's the time to all sit down together and work out how we [ the clubs ] are going to improve the Championships [ both of them ] to the level that in future clubs cannot be refused a fair tilt at the top tier
Because I'm sure as hell the RFL aren't going to make it happen
I'm with you on this, the clubs need to work together on this. I think in and among the comments made yesterday by Mr Steele there had been a few phone calls from concerned directors of other clubs that felt that they way Halifax had been treat was ominous for them as well so it could happen.
Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

If they give me a ring I'll organise it , seriously I will
I actually sympathise a little with Fax on this one, under the terms of the RFL licence guidelines that they themselves laid out, your application beats Wakefield's hands down. Your solvent (just), have finally finished the stadium and have achieved on the pitch.
The insolvency criteria was removed months ago, well before the applications were submitted. Performance on the pitch in the Championship is a criteria to be allowed to apply for entry to SL, not one used to judge whether a club should be admitted. Facilities I'll give you.
Without seeing both applications I don't see how you can so confidently assert that one beat the other 'hands down'.

Yes we know , just before the Crusaders went into administration , fortunatly for them , unfortunatly for Fax

IF all the Championship and Championship 1 clubs had the balls to get together and make a stand, then it might be worth it. But, can anyone ever see this occurring? The RFL will have quiet words with some clubs to undermine their resolve, IMO, and then what does it matter when the SL clubs can out-vote all the Championship clubs on matters?
I've had it with this sport. Banana republic comes to mind.

I'm not saying they ' revolt ' as I'm sure Nigel and Richard think we are ' revolting ' anyway
Im saying get together , look at what we can do to improve our clubs and the competitions we play in , the aim is to generate more interest and eventually money for our clubs , as at the end of the day it is money that ' talks ' in proffessional sport , it always has been
Being a big fish in a tiny pond is of no use to any of us , we need to Make the pond bigger ' richer ' and have as many big fish in it as we can build
"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."― Albert Einstein "Everybody gets so much information all day long that they lose their common sense." ― Gertrude Stein "Don't believe everything you read on the internet" ― Abraham Lincoln
