Is it just me or does anyone else agree we have recruited poorly. If you look who we had last season ( gleeson, branno, royston, tamghart, maloney ) and look at the players we've brought in.. Why havent we signed any better players. You'd of thought with winning the grand final last year, players would have wanted to sign for us.. Your thoughts?

players had to take pay cuts, you listed the players that left, some big players for us last season, we should be thankful the likes of Black, Beswick, Penky didnt jump ship either.

we were never going to be able to replace the players we lost with better players, with a smaller playing budget.

we may not get to that 3rd grand final, although i'm not completely ruling it out this early in the season, getting secure off the feild is now more important now we know were we are playing our rugby for the next 3 years

You've lost a couple of props that will make a big dent.
Incidently we have one going really well for us this season his name is RICHARD VARKULIS and to think some teams wasted him at centre.

How long did that take? 2 years? And next year he'll be playing elsewhere. So you got one year from three of a useful player.

Rich if he carries on playing the way he has I'm sure he'll be offered a SL contract. Last time we went up to SL there were a couple of players who turned down full time contracts though to stay in the NFP. I don't know what his situation is though.

Looking forward to the Fax game on the 21st April.Maybe we can win for a change. Hopefully beat the Champions and how is Gannon and Ostick playing?
