Yet again Calland’s army will bemoan a slow period during the game. On this occasion it came via sluggish first 15 minutes of the game, and a strange a lacklustre effort midway through the second stanza. It’s hard to put your finger on exactly where it’s all going wrong, because FAX matched the Leythers for long periods of the game.
For me it was the first 20 minutes really but we picked up when Penky and Aizue came on which speaks volumes. It was also pretty obvious that Penky was running the show and this is where MC needs to adapt. Im pretty sure that Penky could do 60 minutes so any plans have got to be flexible but it looks like our coachs tactics are pretty rigid when it comes to things like this rather than going off game flow. It should have worked ,which ever way he did it, so that when Aizue came on again he was on the pitch with Penky.
Its going to be a long season for us but at the end of the day whats it matter?
