In 'The Centurion' this Thursday : Mon May 30, 2011 2:25 pm
Greetings to 'Fax fans. For Thursday's match, our matchday magazine, 'The Centurion' has lots about you guys, and RL in general. We've even managed to put in a bit about Leigh!

Anyway, Thursday's edition includes: -

CEO ALLAN ROWLEY welcomes our visitors, and pens a short heart-felt piece about Arthur Thomas.

IAN MILLWARD offers his views on our leakier than usual defence, in the last two games, in an interview with Dave Parkinson.

ROBBIE HUNTER-PAUL is sure that Halifax are in a false position and explains how their latest ‘acquisition’ Brian Noble, can help them.

ALAN EDGE and DAVE PARKINSON take an in-depth look at tonight’s visitors, Halifax.

DAVE PARKINSON reports on the Hunslet and York games and has again updated his fascinating ‘Facts ‘N Stats feature.

JAMES GORDON explains why ‘one-sided’ scorelines, in the Challenge Cup, should be acceptable

His ‘Love RL’ colleague, TONY WILLIAMS, dismisses the upcoming England v Exiles fixture, as being ‘artificial’.

ALAN EDGE dons his flat cap to ask, ‘Where have all the species gone?’ and gives England boss Steve McNamara the bird. In the Editorial page, Alan welcomes Halifax, offers a personal vote of thanks to Arthur Thomas and proffers a ‘get well’ message to a local personality.

Once again, the excellent action photos of the Hunslet game, from MAURICE JONES and WAYNE KEEGAN, bring the pages of ‘The centurion’ to life.

All this, plus the usual squad information, and regular features from LISA and the Club’s Lottery, Commercial, and Community departments, for just £2.50.

So, start saving now and come and put some well-needed cash into Leigh coffers, by watching the game, and buying 'he Centurion'. You won't regret it!

It's a 1 page black and White sheet once you get there, false advertising.

Trust you to spill the beans VM! In my defence, I can only say that the single sheet is folded, to make it look like four pages!

Actually you 'Fax fans, it's forty pages in glorious technicolour! And I can only assume (modestly, of course) that it must be better than Widnes's!

Anyway VM, will you be at the Sports Village, to see two proper teams play?

Nope but i shall be watching on the box, if the Leigh players are focussed they will tear Fax a brand new bumhole, if they're not focussed Fax will sneak it 52-50. Defence will be the key :D

Noble with his gum, Millward with his died ginger hair, Hall with his Apples and Calland with his notepad and chav tracksuit.

Wouldn't miss it for the world.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

He's been in Yorkshire for far to long has Mr Calland, Halifax should be greatful that a Widnes lad led them to glory last year. Leigh is ten times more chavtastic than Widnes bugman.

I'm just giving Alan a plug that's all, he needs more folk to buy his programmes. He should pay me money for the views he's had on this page.

Well thanks to VM.

I read the Widnes prog at their game against Hull in the Challenge Cup it is a good one too.

50 seasons ago I collected programmes and way back then the best was Wakefield Trinity's.

Today ours is the best and if you read it I am sure you will agree.
