Don't get me wrong I think Danny Jones is a good goal kicker but he just doesn't have the power from further out wide and Lee's been kicking them from all over the field for 2 seasons now so don't get why he isn't kicking this season?!?!

A question I asked on a couple of occassion and have now been told that last year Jones had a higher success ratio than Patterson.

That might be the case but he doesn't have the power from the touch line whereas Lee does

I'm not arguing, just saying what I heard.

Mind you, if he has a higher success ratio than Paterson are you saying Keighley scored all their try's under the posts?

It might well be a confidence issue. Lee was struggling with the boot early with the friendlies and the NRC games plus he has been over on his ankle a few times which will take time to recover. Not sure if its the leg that he uses for goal kicking but regardless he will need to get the strength back then maybe he may fancy another go if asked.

I'd prefer Patts to kick myself,

Jones would have had a higher ration last season only cause Keighley scored less tries than we did. Patts is as good as any goal kicker in this league

Couldn't agree more, its not only Ben Blacks kick that won us the GF, without patts Kicking completion rate we would not have been "Champions".

I also would prefer to see Patts back Kicking when he can, Perhaps with Bowman coming back in Danny jones might get benched a few times and Patts might get the chance to shine once more.

I think it might be the other way round. I doubt Bowman will have any impact and feel that the Hunslet game was a chance to play him against `weaker` opposition to give him a chance and i doubt we will see him that often this season. With Jones kicking though, i think its Patts place that is most under threat. The wing places are decided, we have the best 2 wingers in the league and then with Ratu coming back and Goddard regaining confidence we are going to have 4 players for 2 positions. I guess Nash could move to the pack but i dont think he is as effective there but then again he cant be less effective than Paul Smith can he?

Kieghley didnt score as many tries as us, so they couldnt miss as many as us, because they had less attempts.

for example in Darts, a player could have 30 shots at a double in the match but only hit 5 of them, wheras someone else could only have 10 shots at a double but get 5 of them, the person has had 20 less shots but has a higher average.
