Miles 8/10 put a great deal of the hard yards in today
White 8/10
haley 6/10 looked a couple of yards off the pace ist half but came better
Fieldhouse 7/10 missed !st tackle but put a solid show in after that
Worricy 7/10
Jones 6/10 nighmare first half recovered second
Black 5/10 strugling to remember a significant contribution....looks lost unfortunately. 1 good high ball kick.
Gannon 7/10
beswick 7/10
Cherry 7/10
chandler 7/10
bannister n/a injured
barlow 6/10 a bit hit and miss today

Nash 7/10 his strongest game for a while
penky 8/10 turned the game into a win today well played.
Aizue 8/10 strongest forward display ....just take it running it frightens everyone!!
ostick 5 /10 or was he injured

Thought the team selection was quite brave today or was it just who was fit ?

The big quandry is if Blacky is going to start performing how we know he can ( rather than passing to people in a worse position than him ie pass to Worrincy when the gap is infront of himself 3 yds from the line ) or do you put penky at scrum half and keep penky and Beswick on for the full 80. It looks to work between Penky and Jones but for some reason not between Jones and Black.
The only other alternative I can come up with is making Blacky work from hooker, put some effort in and rebuild his confidence. Clearly Dewsbury targeted to run at Ben today standing at Centre in defence...and the tactic worked for 60 mins.
Still a wins a win .....if we could get both Ben and Jones scoring 8/10s we really would go up a couple of gears.

I can't help but think Blacky is injured, his game has completely changed, he used to run at the line and look for a gap, most of the time he just gets it and passes it now

No disrespect intended, Black has been a fantastic player for us, but, something is now wrong.
He doesn't run at defenses, in fact at the moment with Ben and Danny at half back, nothings happening.
Danny just receives the ball and passes it on.
Someone tell him he can run with the ball if he wants.

First half was an absolute shocker and if dewsbury took their chances then i dont think we would have come back from a 20point deficit, second half was much improved but still far from what Halifax can do on a rugby pitch. I was impressed by Barlow and Nash today thought both players turned up and put in a solid perfomance especially Barlow, my man of the match by a distance.

I thought Beswick, Aizue and Worrincy put in really good shifts. The latters handling under high balls was top notch throughout

He isn't that old, players go through dodgy patches, he had a decent second half today, i think he will come good and i also think hes struggling because we dont play the expansive way we used to...have faith amigo

His lack of form could be down to his personal circumstances. Fatherhood & being awoken constantly by a newborn child must be taking its toll on game day.
