It's interesting to note, that the semi is being staged at doncaster. Looking on the map, the stadium equidistant to cas and leeds is...yes you guessed it - wakefield. It's almost like belle vue isn't up to standard... I cannot think why, its suitable for superleague after all, and even siddall is deemed of the required standard to host a challenge cup game (not a semi I admit, but I'm making a point, so hyperbole is in order)

This is what this system does. It makes you hate other teams irrationally. I was ready to empathise with wakey. now their shanty town ground can burn to the ground for all I care. This is what the rfl do to the average humble fan. It breaks the fabric of our sport - unity.

The Keepmoat is a great rugby ground and home to one of the top league teams just proving that franchising is working.

if they had really thought about it the RFL could have held the Semi's in a double header in Gateshead to promote the game up there!

I'm expecting an announcement soon on the lines of:

As the RFL wish to maintain and promote their support and dedication to the expansion of rugby league outside of the heartlands, we would like to take this opportunity to announce that from next season one expansion team will gain entry to the Challenge Cup Final autmatically on a rota system. We would like to thank the expansion teams for accepting our invitation and look forward to crushing the dreams of other clubs in the coming years. The first team to take this unique opportunity will be Crusaders, followed the following year by Catalans, Harlequins, Scorpions and Gateshead respectively. Ocassionally we may advance two teams to the final when and where we see fit. This will be the final step in our attempt to crush the game outside of Super League.
