At present it feels as if we have been ‘used’, because the RFL needed our application to pretend that the process had a validity, which now appears to be completely lacking.

And that was why HRLFC went along with the RFL's request to manufacture the attendance at the final game last season. I feel sorry for Michael, etc who will have put in a tremendous amount of work in chasing the carrot. The RFL should be deeply ashamed, but there is little chance of that.

That is quite incredible , how corrupt can we be as a sport , when we end up in a situation where the governing body goes to such lengths for some weird form of ' credibility '

Will the RFL now favour your good selves as they seem to occaisionally do after clubs are seen to be favoured against

Why do we bother ?

The RFL were suggesting that we increase crowd figures well before that final game. Stinks doesnt it?

Maybe they would be better actually trying to help clubs grow their ' real ' fan base rather than play silly games

It really is so bloody frustrating , we have two failed administrators in lofty positions drawing large salaries running our sport , and they bumble along from one disaster to the next

This is a big statement from the club that is obviously full of anger and disappointment ..... I hope when the dust settles we do challenge this decision.

On a final note as supporters of a great club, I would hope that we can all express our thanks to the BOD for what was a creditable application and hopefully we can show our support on Saturday.

I am not sure that a challenge of any kind would benefit us. I am not saying we should put up and shut up, we should do something, but I dont know how we challenge a decision......

I think the best we can hope is:

a) Wakefield or Castleford at the end of 2012 season are no further from where they are now and the RFL grow some and do what they said they can do.

b) Crusaders end up in Championship 1, Tolouse go into the French league and that leaves the field open for real Championship teams to be successful and make a bid for 2015.

Wouldn't surprise me me if the RFL had told us to keep quiet or risk sanctions of some kind.

How can such a corrupt governing body be allowed to function thus? They move the goalposts at every opportunity to satisfy themselves or SL clubs. Independent panel?! How so? If Lewis and Wood are on it, how is it independent? This sport's governors bail out their pet expansion clubs, yet let others like Blackpool fade away. And how can it be fair when SL clubs get 2 votes at meetings and the Championship and Championship 1 clubs only get 1 vote each? Democratic; I think not. Can't see me going to professional games next season now. I've had enough. Probably go watch the amateur game.
