Is anyone aware that thick weed roots have cracked through the concrete? It will be like a jungle in 20 years time.

And as there is no need to use the stand for the foreseeable future for either club (barring a miracle), I can't see the council doing anything with it. + are they going to leave that structure between the East Stand and South Stand to rot? Surely they can at least clad it and use it to advertise or put a cheap scoreboard there?

Lots of grounds have over capacity for the host clubs needs for 95% of their games, yet most other grounds still look after all their stands so why should the Shay be any different? Look at Widnes they for their own games the last few years did not really need four stands yet they looked after them and were rewarded with Saints playing there this season and GF and other representatives matches being played there.
If you have something even if you don't use it very often you should still look after it for the day you do need it.
If the Council leave the North stand the problem will get bigger and more expensive in time so best sorted out NOW!
But this is Calderdale Council not known for showing ambition so I fear it won't happen, I am still in shock they ever did the East Stand.

We can't really offer the Stadium for use other than for HRLFC and FCHT unless all four stands are fit for purpose. The North stand is definitely unfit, and how is the Skircoat these days now that it is no longer used for the rugby? (Is it still in use foe wendyball?)

Away fans are segregated in there for FCHT games, I think?

It was linked in with that Thread on here about the "Bouncers" who seemed to be around The Shay towards the end of the season, can't remember the term someone used to describe them, Storm Troopers or similar
