Apparently, you can say anything you like nowadays. Have you heard the premier league managers on skysports news criticising the filth that Blackburn Rovers fans are spewing at their manager & owner of the club, it's outrageous.

...but get away with a couple of matches or so for a potentially career-ending tackle from behind. Folk need to get a grip - sticks and stones etc... Sorry, I'm no way a racist, but words themselves are inconsequential - it's the thoughts and attitude that sit behind them that matter.

Totally agree Col. It is not just football where footballers get away with things on the pitch where they would face criminal prosecution off it. Rugby League, Union, American Football, etc, sees vicious assaults where further action should be taken than just that taken by the sports governing body.

Suarez should have been banned until at least the end of the season. John Terry should get much longer and certainly should never be given the privellage of representing his country again. Sadly the FA are little better than the RFL and so I dont hold much hope that the punishment will fit the crime. But we can live in hope.
