interesting to say the least,,that guy has loads of personal problems he needs sorting, if he can will be a good signing if not who knows,,,,,,,,????,,,
They let the cat out of the bag when they were going to announce it in the programme, only for it to fail to print properly because of a dodgy cartridge.
Charity or not if he is as good as cockayne he will win us matches and get us to the final if not there is no pressure as we are l of the clubs that can apply for the next S/L licence as we have ticked the main box and aparntly been voted club of the year I hope we can get the ground sorted and who knows what will happen only us and Sheffield. Running like a S / L club
Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

No disrespect, but attendances of less than 2,000 isnt running like a viable SL club

You have less chance than us and you have ticked the box. With respect Post Office Road in its current state or even with the new stands to come this time will never see SL. Ticking the box is a load of Red Hall clap trap, they either want you in or they dont and unfortunately they dont want honest hard working traditional clubs steeped in history such as Fev, Fax, Leigh etc.
Despite a past no one can doubt his credentials and records on the pitch and it is hopefully another quality signing and an advertisement for the championship
Believe it is a 'low risk' sort of contract for one year so if things dont work out then neither club or player will be seriously effected
Also a match term type of contract so not going to be one of the biggest earners out there either
Also wasnt willing to sign if it stopped one of the younger lads getting a deal
He is making the right noises off the pitch in interviews, wants to play for the club, not here for a payday, wants to put the graft in etc
Introduced at half time today on the pitch and didnt look overweight or out of shape
Still skeptical of this signing but i wish him good luck and hope its works out for everyone
It's no big deal. If he's up for it, committed to fev, motivated - he'll score tries. If he isn't and/or his form suffers even the slightest bit, Tom Carr isn't far behind him. If it works it's tickety boo. If it does't - well, it doesn't. Back to plan A!
