Well i thought we were, until i looked, bloody Astons lot on points diff!

very early in season i know, but with our 1st choice pack of Barlow, Aizue, Divorty, Manning, Ashall, Morrison to come back into that team things look very bright.

having already pushed Fev as close as possible - Fax are the team to beat for me this year.

i have been watching fax for 25 years. i know when i see a 'team'.

Rhino has put together a squad that are all gonna fight for each other till the end.

Ashalls interview in the suite before the game yesterday spoke volumes.

yesterday we played without our 1st choice pack and still smashed Hunslet.

When we get bodies back pushing for shirts, this will only improve the team.

Fax are gonna be big in 2012, mark my words!

also thought that over 2000 for Hunslet was a good effort.

See how we go against Sheffield when we play them away in a few weeks. We usually mess that fixture up!

Who, according to Barry Eaton had their 1st choice half backs and back up half backs injured, along with 2 other 1st choice backs and 2 forrads!!!

We're not clicking just yet either and Sheffield and Batley look in good nick too at this early stage in the season. It's a bit early for predictions of world domination just yet.

Where are Sheffield playing this year? Are they back at Don Valley till Sheffield United's season is over?

Long way to go and the League is open for anybody to win it. I would say Sheffield and Batley are the two form teams right now. But its not how you start a season but how you finish it. I dont expect Fax to win a trophy this year due to the huge player turnover and new coaching staff. It takes time to gel a side. Fax still have someway to go to being the best side in this League and I am sure Rhino agrees with that statement. Fax are going very well but lets not get to hysterical and then get disappointed when it might not happen as we hope. Theres a number of good teams in this League and no team has a right to win anything.

Lets be fair here SIMS! There is nothing to suggest that the injured players are in anyway going to out perform the likes of Hesketh, Robinson & Ashall who have been outstanding. I would state that returning players are likely to give us a stronger & more experienced bench therefore adding depth to our 17 and to suggest otherwise IMO would be doing the lads a disservice. Like you i want us to win up and take some trophies but other clubs have their own ideas about that.....Hopefully things are gonna look good on the injury front very soon
